Calendly vs YouCanBookMe: which scheduler fits you?
Calendly and YouCanBookMe do the same basic job: you share a link, people pick a free slot on your calendar, and both sides get a confirmation. The difference shows up in how they charge. Calendly sells a seat to each person who hosts meetings. YouCanBookMe sells accounts whose limits are counted in calendar connections and booking pages, and only its Team plan is priced per member.
Below are both vendors' own price lists with the monthly and the yearly-billing figure for every plan, a table where each cell links to the page it came from, and a verdict that names who should pick which. I make PeachCalendar, a booking page for Google Calendar that you pay for once. It appears near the end as a third path, and its limits get their own block, because it is a much smaller product than either of these two.
Pick Calendly if
- You want a free plan and a single event type is enough
- You work with colleagues or leads and may need round-robin or CRM routing later
- Your stack is HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce or Marketo and bookings should feed it
- You want a plan you can price per seat as the team grows
Pick YouCanBookMe if
- You want SMS or email reminders and booking form questions at a low monthly price
- You collect payments at booking, including on the free plan, through Stripe
- You prefer limits counted in booking pages and calendars rather than seats
- You want a minimum and maximum notice period or a limit on bookings per day

The verdict
Pick Calendly if you want a free plan with one event type, you book with leads or colleagues, or you may grow into round-robin scheduling and CRM routing on a per-seat price. Pick YouCanBookMe if you want reminders, booking form questions and Stripe payments at the lowest monthly figure, and you are happy with limits counted in booking pages and calendars. Consider PeachCalendar if you want to pay once: PeachCalendar costs $30 once and gives you a Google Calendar booking page with unlimited event types, but it takes no payments, sends no reminders and has no questions on the booking page.

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years
Calendly Standard is $10 per seat per month billed yearly ($120 a year) or $12 monthly ($144). YouCanBookMe Individual is $8.10 per month billed yearly ($97.20 a year) or $9 monthly ($108). I chose these because each is the cheapest plan with reminders on its list, which both free plans lack. PeachCalendar is $30 once: about three months of Calendly Standard on yearly billing, or just under four months of YouCanBookMe Individual. It does not replace the reminders or payments those plans include.

Where PeachCalendar falls short
No payments, reminders or booking questions
Both vendors list reminders on their cheapest paid plan, and both take payments through Stripe. PeachCalendar does neither, and the booking page has no custom questions. If clients must pay, get reminded or answer something while booking, it is the wrong tool.
Google Calendar only, one person
PeachCalendar writes bookings to Google Calendar and to nothing else, so there is no Outlook or iCloud. It has no team scheduling or round-robin and no shared setup for several hosts. It suits one person who lives in Google Calendar.
No free plan, no SMS, no analytics
Both Calendly and YouCanBookMe have a free plan. PeachCalendar is a $30 purchase with a 14-day refund. It has no SMS, no Zapier or HubSpot connection and no booking analytics, which YouCanBookMe lists on its Professional plan.
How the two price lists are built
Calendly is priced per seat. Standard is $10 per seat per month billed yearly or $12 billed monthly, and Teams is $16 yearly or $20 monthly. The page says a seat is needed for each person who connects a calendar and hosts meetings, while the people who book need no seat. For a solo consultant that means one seat; for four people on one team it means four.
YouCanBookMe builds its list around limits. Free gives one calendar connection and one booking page. Individual is $9 monthly or $8.10 billed yearly with two of each. Professional is $13 or $11.70 with six calendars and ten booking pages. Team is $18 or $16.20 per member per month. A third billing choice on the page, two years at once, takes 20% off, which brings Individual to $7.20.
So the cheapest paid plan is lower at YouCanBookMe in every billing mode I checked: $9 against $12 monthly, and $8.10 against $10 on yearly billing. The gap is a few dollars a month. For one person it is smaller than the gap in features, which is where the choice really lies.
What you get on the free plan
The free plans are not the same size. Calendly Free gives one event type, one calendar connection, one-on-one scheduling, a customizable booking page and a browser extension. That one event type is the hard limit: if you offer a 15-minute intro call and a 60-minute session, you need Standard.
YouCanBookMe Free lists one calendar and one booking page, and its feature list is longer than the limit suggests: customizable confirmation emails and SMS, booking form questions, Stripe payments, embedding, polling for availability and single-use booking links. Reminders and group sessions start on Individual. If payments at booking matter to you and you want to pay nothing, the free plan on its page is the one that lists them.
Where each one pulls ahead
Calendly pulls ahead on team and sales use. Teams adds round-robin and team scheduling, lead qualification and routing, centrally managed event types and connections to Marketo, Pardot and Salesforce, and Enterprise starts at $15k a year from 50 seats. The Standard plan also lists PayPal next to Stripe. If your booking links sit inside a sales process, its page is built for that.
YouCanBookMe pulls ahead for a person or small business that wants controls on the booking itself. Its page lists a minimum and maximum notice period, a limit on meetings per day, promotion codes, a password on the booking page, Zapier, and API access on Team. SMS notifications and reminders are there too, with an extra charge noted on the page. If your clients are people you serve rather than leads you qualify, that list matches the job.
Where a one-time purchase fits
Some people pay monthly only to have a few meeting types behind a clean link on their own calendar. For that narrow job, PeachCalendar gives you unlimited event types of 15 to 120 minutes, weekly availability, date exceptions, an invitee time zone detected automatically, a Google Meet link per booking, confirmation emails, embeds and per-event branding. You can cancel or reschedule from the dashboard.
If you also use MangoForm, a form can be emailed to everyone who books a PeachCalendar meeting type, and the answers show up on the meeting. That is a separate app with its own price, and it is not a question field on the booking page itself. Everything else on this page, from reminders to payments, stays with the two tools above.
