The Typeform alternative you pay for once

Typeform made the one-question-at-a-time form popular, and it is still very good at it. It is also expensive: the cheapest paid plan is $28 a month on yearly billing and caps you at 100 responses a month.

MangoForm gives you the same conversational format, around 20 question types, skip logic and no response limit for $25, paid once. Here is the honest comparison, with Typeform's prices linked to their source and the features Typeform has that we don't.

MangoForm is a good fit if

  • You like the Typeform style but not the monthly bill
  • You keep hitting Typeform's monthly response limit
  • You run surveys, lead forms, feedback forms or applications on a budget
  • You want your own colors, logo and fonts without paying for a higher tier

Stay on Typeform if

  • You need payments, file uploads or signatures inside the form
  • You rely on email notifications for every submission
  • You need deep native integrations (Salesforce, HubSpot) or enterprise compliance like HIPAA and SSO

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years

We use Typeform Basic, the cheapest paid plan, at its yearly-billing rate of $28 a month. Basic keeps the Typeform branding and allows 100 responses a month; hiding the branding needs Plus at $56 a month, which would make the gap more than twice as large.

Where Typeform is better

More building blocks

Typeform can take payments, accept file uploads and run AI-assisted form creation. MangoForm can't take payments or files today. If your form is also a checkout or an application with attachments, Typeform does the job and we don't.

Integrations and automation

Typeform connects natively to a long list of tools, offers a Salesforce integration on its Growth plans and sells a Contacts & Automations add-on for follow-ups. MangoForm offers webhooks, which work with automation tools but need a little setup.

Notifications and team features

Typeform plans include extra seats and polished notifications. MangoForm has workspaces you can invite people to, but it does not send you an email when someone submits; you check results in the dashboard or wire up a webhook.

Enterprise needs

Typeform Enterprise offers SSO, HIPAA compliance, custom domains and a choice of US or EU data center, with a support team behind it. MangoForm is a small product from a solo founder and makes no compliance promises.

Typeform's response cap is the real price

Typeform's sticker price is high, but the limits are what push people to look elsewhere. Basic allows 100 responses a month. One good post or one email to your list can blow through that in an afternoon, and the next step up is Plus at $56 a month on yearly billing, $79 if you pay monthly.

MangoForm has no form limit and no response limit. You pay $25 once and collect as many answers as you get. That makes it a better match for anything with unpredictable volume: waitlists, event sign-ups, customer feedback after a launch, or a survey you send to a large list.

What building a form in MangoForm looks like

Forms show one question at a time with a progress bar, the format that made Typeform feel friendly. You pick from around 20 question types: short and long text, email, phone, number, date, dropdown, multiple choice, yes/no, rating, opinion scale, NPS, ranking, matrix, a legal consent block and statements. Skip logic sends people to a different question or an end screen based on their answers.

Branding is yours: colors, fonts, a logo with size and position, and a custom CSS field for fine control. The "Powered by" badge is off by default. You can password-protect a form, embed it on your site as a standard block, popup, side panel or fullscreen, start from a template, and switch the respondent interface between English and French.

Results arrive in a table in the dashboard with views, starts, completion rate and average completion time, and you can export everything to CSV at any point. A webhook can push each new submission to your own systems.

Should you switch?

If you use Typeform for straightforward surveys and lead forms and pay mostly to get past the response limit or to use your own branding, MangoForm will likely cover what you do for the price of a single month of Typeform Basic.

If your forms collect payments or files, or your team depends on Typeform's integrations and notifications, stay. A cheaper tool that lacks a feature you need daily is not a saving.

FAQ

Is MangoForm a one-time purchase?

Yes. MangoForm is $25 once for lifetime access, and it is also part of the $49 F*ckSubscription bundle. No renewal, no response-based billing.

Does MangoForm limit how many responses I can collect?

No. There is no cap on forms or responses. Typeform Basic, by comparison, allows 100 responses a month according to its pricing page.

Can MangoForm accept payments or file uploads?

Not today. If you need either inside the form, Typeform (or Tally) is the better choice for now.

Will I get an email when someone fills in my form?

No, MangoForm doesn't send submission emails yet. You see responses in the dashboard, and you can connect a webhook to route submissions wherever you want, including to an email tool.

Can I bring my existing Typeforms across?

There's no import tool, so you rebuild the form in MangoForm. Most forms take a few minutes because the question types map closely to Typeform's.
