Jotform pricing explained, limit by limit

Jotform sells a free Starter plan, three paid plans (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and a custom Enterprise plan. Every figure on this page was read from Jotform's own pricing page on 2026-10-10, in US dollars, with both the monthly and the yearly payment toggle checked.

On Jotform the plan price is the small part of the story. What you actually buy is a set of caps: how many forms you can keep, how many submissions arrive each month, how many submissions can be stored in total, and how much upload space you get. Every paid plan is for one user, so a team cannot simply share a login on a cheaper tier and add seats. The only way to go up is the next plan.

What Jotform does well

Payments and signatures are built in

Every plan, free included, counts monthly payment submissions and signed documents, so taking a payment or collecting an e-signature through a form is a core part of the product. If your form is really an order or a contract, that is the reason to pay.

A free plan with a real feature set

The page says Starter includes all standard features, such as templates, payment integrations and widgets. You only meet the limits, not a locked feature list, so a small site with a contact form can stay at $0.

HIPAA-enabled features and an Enterprise tier

Gold adds optional HIPAA-enabled features, and Enterprise lists SSO, SLAs, data residency and professional services. A small form tool cannot stand in for those if a compliance review is involved.

Generous view limits

Form views are counted per month but the numbers are high: 10,000 on Starter and 100,000 on Bronze. For most small sites the views cap is not the one that forces an upgrade.

Four limits decide your plan

Jotform's page lists forms, monthly submissions, total submission storage and upload space on every plan. Starter allows 5 forms and 100 submissions a month. Bronze allows 25 forms and 1,000, Silver 50 and 2,500, and Gold 100 and 10,000. The monthly price grows more slowly than the caps from Bronze to Silver, then jumps at Gold.

The one that surprises people is total submission storage, which is separate from the monthly count. Starter stores 500 submissions, Bronze 10,000, Silver 25,000 and Gold 100,000. Jotform's FAQ says that if you exceed it, the system deletes the oldest response to make room for new ones, and advises downloading and purging old submissions first. So hitting a storage cap is a data question as well as a billing one.

Monthly or yearly billing

The page has a Monthly and a Yearly toggle and says you save up to 20%. Bronze is $39 a month billed monthly or $34 a month billed yearly, which is $468 against $408 over twelve months. Silver is $49 or $39, and Gold is $129 or $99. Over a year, Silver saves $120 on the yearly rate and Gold saves $360.

Both periods renew automatically unless you cancel. The page also says discounts only apply when upgrading to a higher-tier yearly plan, and that plans renew at the full price in the next period. Nonprofits and educational institutions can ask for 50% off Bronze, Silver and Gold, so check that before buying if you qualify.

One user per paid plan

Each of Starter, Bronze, Silver and Gold is listed as a one-user individual plan. The Enterprise FAQ calls it the only multiuser Jotform plan. If three people need to build and manage forms under one account, the page does not offer a per-seat price on the self-serve tiers, so the real route is a custom quote.

That is why the cost scenarios here all use one seat. I could not find a published way to add a second user to Bronze, Silver or Gold, so I do not guess a number.

What a plan costs over one, two and three years

Bronze on yearly billing is $408 after a year, $816 after two and $1,224 after three. On monthly billing it is $468, $936 and $1,404. Silver on yearly billing is $468, $936 and $1,404, and Gold on yearly billing is $1,188, $2,376 and $3,564. These assume Jotform keeps today's prices, which it can change.

Bronze and Silver are only $5 a month apart on yearly billing, which is $60 a year, and Silver more than doubles the monthly submissions and doubles the form count. If you are going to outgrow Bronze, you will probably pay for Silver anyway.

Who should stay on Jotform, and who can look elsewhere

Stay if you take payments, collect signatures, need HIPAA-enabled features, or the free plan covers your volume. In those cases the subscription buys things a simple form builder does not have, and paying makes sense.

If you mostly run surveys, sign-up forms and feedback forms and the paid plan is there only to lift caps, the pay-once route is worth a look. MangoForm costs $25 once and sets no cap on forms or responses. It does not take payments, collect signatures or accept file uploads, and it has no per-plan storage tiers to compare, so check your forms against that list first.
