A Jotform alternative with no submission limits
Jotform is a big, capable product, and its free plan is more generous than most: five forms and 100 submissions a month. The trouble starts when you grow past that. Bronze, the first paid step, is $34 a month on yearly billing and still stops at 25 forms and 1,000 submissions a month.
MangoForm is a much smaller tool for a narrower job. It builds one-question-at-a-time forms with no limit on forms or responses, for $25 paid once. This page lays out who that suits, what Jotform does that MangoForm doesn't, and the arithmetic with Jotform's prices linked to their source.
MangoForm is a good fit if
- You pay Jotform mainly to get past the form count or monthly submission limit
- Your forms are surveys, sign-ups, feedback forms or applications without payments
- You prefer the one-question-at-a-time style to a long page of fields
- You want a flat one-time cost instead of another subscription to track
Stay on Jotform if
- You take payments, collect signatures or accept file uploads in your forms
- You need HIPAA-enabled features, PDF generation or approval workflows
- You depend on Jotform's long list of native integrations or on emailed notifications for each submission

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years
We compare against Bronze, the cheapest paid plan, at its yearly-billing rate of $34 a month. The free Starter plan is the right choice if you stay under 5 forms and 100 submissions a month; we only claim savings against a plan you would actually have to pay for. Jotform's monthly-billing price is shown in local currency for us, so we leave it unlisted.

Where Jotform is better
Payments, signatures and documents
Jotform lets you take payments through providers such as Stripe and PayPal, collect e-signatures and generate PDFs from submissions. MangoForm can't take payments, signatures or files. If your form is really an order form or a contract, Jotform is the tool for the job.
A free plan that works
Jotform's Starter plan costs nothing and includes 5 forms and 100 submissions a month. If you stay inside those limits, paying $25 for anything is a net loss. Our pitch only starts once you would otherwise pay for Bronze or above.
Integrations and automation
Jotform lists more than 200 integrations, among them Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Zapier and Make. MangoForm sends a webhook on each submission, which reaches the same places but needs you to set the connection up yourself.
Notifications, compliance and scale
Jotform sends form notifications by email, offers HIPAA-enabled features on Gold, and sells an Enterprise tier with single sign-on and dedicated support. MangoForm doesn't email you on submissions and makes no compliance promises.
Where Jotform's limits start to cost money
Jotform counts three things that matter to a small team: how many forms you can keep, how many submissions arrive each month, and how much storage your account uses. The free plan allows 5 forms and 100 submissions a month. Past that you move to Bronze at $34 a month billed yearly, which raises the limits to 25 forms and 1,000 submissions, then Silver at $39 and Gold at $99.
Those numbers are fine for a steady contact form. They are less comfortable for a launch week, a survey you send to a large list, or an agency that keeps a separate form per client. One busy campaign can use a month of submissions in a day, and the answer is a bigger plan.
What you get for $25 instead
MangoForm doesn't count forms or responses at all. You build as many forms as you like and collect as many answers as arrive. The format is one question at a time with a progress bar, and there are around 20 question types, among them text, email, phone, dropdown, rating, NPS, ranking and matrix. Skip logic jumps respondents to a later question or an end screen depending on what they answered.
You can set colors, fonts and a logo, add custom CSS, protect a form with a password and embed it as a standard block, popup, side panel or fullscreen. Results land in a table with views, starts, completion rate and average time, and everything exports to CSV. A workspace lets you invite other people, and the respondent side speaks English or French.
The five-year view
Over five years Jotform Bronze at $34 a month adds up to $2,040. MangoForm is $25 once, or part of the $49 bundle that also includes GrapeLink and PeachCalendar. That gap is real only if you genuinely need paid-tier limits; if the free plan covers you, your cost with Jotform is zero and nothing here should change your mind.
Should you switch?
Switch if you are paying for Jotform to lift form and submission caps on simple forms. Stay if payments, signatures, uploads, PDF output or HIPAA features are part of your daily use, or if your team is built around its integrations. There is no import tool, so moving means rebuilding each form; the question types map closely and most forms take minutes.
