Setmore pricing explained: a generous Free plan and a per-user Pro
Setmore sells two plans you can buy online. Free costs $0 per user per month. Pro costs $12 per user per month on monthly billing and $5 per user per month on yearly billing. A third tier, Enterprise, has no public price and sends you to the sales team. All figures below come from setmore.com/pricing, in US dollars, read on 2026-10-11.
The trap on that page is the headline number. The Pro card shows two prices, $12 and $5, side by side, and the lower one only applies if you commit to a year. Setmore also counts every staff member with a calendar as a user, even one who never logs in, so the bill grows with your roster. Add-ons are separate: the Live Receptionist phone service is $99 a month on top of either plan.

What Setmore does well
A Free plan that takes payments
Online and in-person payments, Tap to Pay and a cash register are all in the comparison table for Free as well as Pro. Square, Stripe, PayPal and LawPay are supported. Few booking tools let you charge a customer before you pay anything.
Staff, logins and a team calendar
Each team member gets a login, a booking page, working hours and holidays, with permission levels, a team calendar view and team messaging. These are listed for Free too, so a small shop can run its whole front desk without upgrading.
Apps, widgets and Google
There are iOS and Android apps and a desktop app, a Book Now button for your site, widgets for Wix, Weebly and WordPress, Facebook and Instagram buttons, Reserve with Google, Zapier, HubSpot and Mailchimp. All of them appear in both columns of the table.
Deposits, SMS and a phone line
Pro adds deposits and SMS reminders with a monthly credit allowance, and the Live Receptionist add-on at $99 a month has real people answering your calls in the US. For a business that loses money to no-shows or missed calls, those are practical tools.
What Free actually covers
Read the comparison table before the plan cards and Free looks better than the cards suggest. Appointments are unlimited, the booking page has your own link, group classes work, payments work, the mobile apps work, and a team booking page is included. It also covers customer profiles with notes and labels, contact import and export, analytics and Google Analytics.
For most small businesses, especially ones that take payments or have more than one person on the schedule, that is enough, and paying anyone is optional. The sections below matter only if one of the missing items bites you.
What Free leaves out
Many rows of the table are marked No on Free. The ones people notice first are two-way calendar sync and removing the Setmore branding, because they decide how your booking page looks and how it fits with the calendar you already use. Deposits, SMS reminders, a second reminder, recurring and video appointments and custom availability per service follow.
Others are API access, blocking customers and Google review requests. Support is also tiered: Free has chat, email and phone, while Pro adds priority replies, account optimization advice and instant video support.
Monthly versus yearly billing
Pro at $12 month to month is $144 a year per user. On yearly billing at $5 it is $60 a year per user, which is 58% less. The pricing page says Pro can be tried risk-free for 30 days, with a refund on request if you are not satisfied, so the yearly price is less of a leap than it first looks.
Billing renews automatically for the period you choose. Yearly billing makes sense once you know you will keep the account, because the saving is the difference between $60 and $144.
How the per-user count adds up
Setmore charges per user, meaning each staff member with their own profile. A staff calendar counts even if its owner has no login. For one person on yearly billing, Pro costs about $60 after a year, $120 after two and $180 after three. On monthly billing the same spans are $144, $288 and $432.
Three staff on yearly billing is $180 a year, or $540 over three years. On monthly billing it is $432 a year. The Free column carries a cap on the number of users, so a growing team has to move to Pro at some point regardless of features. Prices can change at any time, which is why every figure here carries the date it was read.
Who should stay on Setmore
Stay if you take payments or deposits, run reminders by text, have several staff, want a mobile app, or rely on Reserve with Google and the social buttons. Stay too if the branding and one-way calendar behaviour of Free do not bother you. In all those cases Setmore Free is the answer, and it costs nothing.
PeachCalendar fits a narrow case: one person who would buy Pro mainly to drop the branding and have bookings land in Google Calendar. It costs $30 once, and you can set up your booking page for free before paying to take bookings. It has no payments, no SMS, no mobile app and no team scheduling, so anyone who needs those should keep their Setmore account.
