A Setmore alternative, for the people who outgrow Free

Setmore has a free plan, and it is a good one: unlimited appointments, online payments, a branded booking page and a mobile app for up to four users. If that covers you, stay. This page is not for you, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.

It is for a narrower group. On Setmore's pricing page, 2-way calendar sync, removing the Setmore branding, recurring appointments and more than one reminder are Pro features, at $12 per user per month, or $5 per user per month on yearly billing. If you are a solo professional who lives in Google Calendar and mainly wants a clean booking link, you may be heading toward that subscription for features you do not use every day. PeachCalendar is a booking app you pay for once ($30) when you want it to take bookings. Below: Setmore's prices with their source, the five-year math, and a straight list of what Setmore does better.

PeachCalendar is a good fit if

  • You are a freelancer, coach or consultant who books one-on-one calls and keeps your schedule in Google Calendar
  • You were about to pay Setmore Pro mainly to remove the Setmore branding or get calendar sync
  • You want several event types, from a quick intro to a full session, each with its own link
  • You would rather pay once than carry another per-user subscription

Stay on Setmore if

  • You take payments or deposits when someone books, through Square, Stripe or PayPal
  • You send SMS or email reminders before appointments to cut no-shows
  • You run a salon, clinic or studio with several staff, each with their own login and calendar
  • You schedule on Outlook, iCloud or another non-Google calendar

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years

Free costs nothing, so it cannot be beaten on price. Pro is the plan that adds the things PeachCalendar also does: calendar events on your own calendar and a booking page without the Setmore badge. We use the yearly-billing price for one user, $5 a month, which is the cheapest way to hold Pro.

Where Setmore is better

Payments at booking

Setmore takes online payments from the booking page, in person, and with Tap to Pay, through Square, Stripe, PayPal or LawPay. Deposits are on Pro. PeachCalendar has no payment step at all, so if people pay you when they book, Setmore is the right tool.

Reminders

Setmore sends an email reminder on Free, and Pro adds SMS (500 credits a month per team member) and a second reminder. PeachCalendar sends a confirmation and a notification to you, and nothing before the meeting.

Staff and a real front desk

Team members get their own login, booking page, hours and holidays, with permission levels, a team calendar and team messaging, even on Free. PeachCalendar is built around one person's calendar.

Phone apps, contacts and the long tail

Setmore has iOS and Android apps, a desktop app, customer profiles with notes, Reserve with Google, Facebook and Instagram Book Now buttons, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Zapier and an API. None of that exists in PeachCalendar.

What Setmore Free gives you, and where it stops

Read Setmore's comparison table closely and Free is generous. You get unlimited appointments, group classes, a custom booking link, online and in-person payments, a mobile app, team profiles and an email reminder. For a barber, a tutor or a small studio, that is a lot to get for nothing.

The limits show up when you work from your own calendar. 2-way calendar sync is on Pro. So is removing the Setmore branding from your booking page, setting different availability per service, and recurring appointments. If those are the reasons you would upgrade, you are paying $60 a year per user, or $144 if you bill monthly, mostly to make the page look like yours and sit properly on your calendar.

Where PeachCalendar fits

PeachCalendar lets you set up your booking page for free: one event type with your availability, and you can see your booking page. Visitors see that you are not taking bookings yet and cannot book. Turning bookings on costs $30, paid once, and it unlocks unlimited event types from 15 to 120 minutes.

Each booking becomes an event on your Google Calendar with the invitee on it, and you can have a Google Meet link generated, or use a phone call, an address or your own video link. You can set weekly availability, block a day or set custom hours for it, and the invitee sees times in their own time zone. The booking page can carry your colors and image, custom CSS, and hides the Powered by badge.

Group bookings are there too: set seats per slot on an event type, from 1 to 100, and several people can take the same slot until it is full, with one shared calendar event and guests who do not see each other.

The five-year math

Setmore Pro on yearly billing is $5 per user per month, so $60 a year and $300 over five years for one person. Paid monthly it is $144 a year and $720 over five years. PeachCalendar is $30 once. Against Free, there is no math to do: Setmore costs zero.

That is the honest frame. PeachCalendar beats Setmore Pro on price for one user after about six months of yearly billing, but it does not beat Free. Pick it only if you want what Pro sells, or if you would rather have a tool that stays out of the way of your own calendar.

Moving from Setmore

There is no import from Setmore. You recreate your services as event types, which for a handful of services takes a few minutes, and you set your availability once. Keep Setmore running until the first real booking comes through PeachCalendar, then point your links at the new page.

If you take payments through Setmore today, do not move that part. Some people keep Setmore for paid services and use PeachCalendar for free consultations. That is a fine setup, and it keeps the payment tool where it belongs.

FAQ

Does Setmore have a free plan?

Yes. Setmore's Free plan covers up to four users with unlimited appointments, online and in-person payments, a branded booking page, a mobile app and one email reminder. 2-way calendar sync, removing Setmore branding and SMS reminders are on Pro.

How much does Setmore Pro cost?

On setmore.com/pricing, checked on 2026-10-11, Pro is $12 per user per month billed monthly and $5 per user per month on yearly billing. Prices are shown in US dollars and can differ by country.

Can PeachCalendar take payments like Setmore?

No. PeachCalendar has no payment step at booking, and no deposits. If your clients pay when they book, stay on Setmore or use a payment tool alongside your booking page.

Does PeachCalendar work with calendars other than Google?

No. It works with Google Calendar only. If your schedule lives in Outlook or iCloud, Setmore is the better fit.

What do I get before paying for PeachCalendar?

You can set up your booking page for free: one event type with your availability, and you can see your booking page. Visitors cannot book until bookings are turned on, which is $30 once.

Is PeachCalendar a good fit for a salon or clinic?

Probably not. It is built for one person's calendar, so shops with several staff members, each needing a login and a calendar, should look at Setmore's team features.
