Senja pricing explained: where Free ends and Starter begins

Senja collects and displays testimonials, and sells it in three plans: Free, Starter and Pro. This page reads Senja's own pricing page on 2026-10-11, in US dollars, and keeps the monthly and yearly figures apart.

The plan structure is simple. Free caps you at fifteen testimonials and keeps Senja's branding on your widgets. Starter lifts the cap, adds your own branding, custom domains, Zapier and an API. Pro adds team seats, unlimited forms, rich snippets and translation. Senja charges per project and plan, not per testimonial.

We make a pay-once alternative, so keep that bias in mind. Below we say who should stay on Senja Free, who really needs Starter or Pro, and what our product does not do.

What Senja does well

Video recording, hosting and exports

Senja collects video testimonials directly, keeps them, and lets you download them, in standard definition on Free and high definition on paid plans. It can also remix them into Reels for social posts and ads. Our product takes a pasted YouTube or Loom link and nothing more, so if recorded video is why you collect testimonials, stay with Senja.

A generous Free plan

Fifteen testimonials is a lot more than most tools allow on a free tier, and Free still includes forms, invites, testimonial analysis, case study generation, unlimited widgets and Walls of Love and widget analytics. A freelancer with a dozen good quotes may never need to pay.

Imports and a migration service

Senja's FAQ says you can import text, video and screen-grab testimonials from thirty-five sources including X, Google, Capterra and Trustpilot, and offers a free concierge migration. Our import reads a CSV file and photos and hosted videos stay behind.

Integrations, API and team seats

Starter lists Zapier, an API and webhooks, and autosync of new testimonials from other sources. Pro adds five seats and team access. Our product has no Zapier connector, no public API and one login per account.

What Senja Free actually includes

Senja describes Free as forever, and the page backs it with a long list: fifteen video and text testimonials, a collection form you can make simple or multistep, invites you can send individually or in bulk with follow-ups, and imports from social and review sites. It also lists testimonial analysis, case study generation, thank-you gifts, exports, Reels and widget analytics.

Widgets and Walls of Love are unlimited on Free, with over twenty templates. The catch is stated in the FAQ: once you reach fifteen testimonials, new ones in your account are hidden. Your forms and widgets keep working, but you cannot see the new ones until you upgrade.

Free also keeps Senja branding on your widgets and Walls of Love. If a small badge does not bother you and your proof fits in fifteen quotes, nothing on the page forces a payment.

Starter: monthly versus yearly

Starter shows $29 on monthly billing and $24 a month on yearly billing. The yearly note on the page says $290 billed annually, which is ten times the monthly price and matches Senja's line that yearly billing gets you two months free. Twelve months billed monthly would cost $348, so yearly saves $58.

The $24 is a rounded display of $290 divided by twelve, about $24.17. The charge that matters is $290 a year. We use the amount charged in every calculation on this page.

Starter includes unlimited testimonials, three forms, one project and two seats. It also brings your own branding, custom domains for forms and Walls of Love, autosync, Spin the Wheel rewards, high definition video exports, pro widgets, Word of Mouth, Zapier, and an API with webhooks.

Pro: seats, projects and extras

Pro shows $59 on monthly billing and $49 a month on yearly billing, with $590 billed annually. As with Starter, the yearly price is ten months of the monthly one, so twelve months billed monthly costs $708 and yearly saves $118. The $49 is a rounded $49.17.

Pro includes unlimited forms, five projects and five seats. You can add projects at $10 a month each and seats at $5 a month each, so a Pro account with two extra projects and three extra seats adds $35 a month on top of the plan price. The page lists rich snippets and translation into twenty languages as Pro features.

Senja does not publish a higher plan. An agency with many clients is pointed to a guide on its support site rather than a price, so we have nothing to quote there.

Downgrading and cancelling

Senja says you drop to Free at the end of the billing period, with a ten-day grace period on paid features. Testimonials stay, forms and widgets keep working, and embeds do not break. Widgets show Senja branding again, and testimonials beyond fifteen are hidden until you upgrade.

The FAQ also tells you to download high definition videos before you downgrade, since Free exports in standard definition. Refunds are handled case by case through support, which replies within one to two business days.

Three-year cost next to a pay-once license

Starter on yearly billing costs $290 in year one, $580 over two years and $870 over three. On monthly billing it is $348, $696 and $1,044. Pro on yearly billing is $590, $1,180 and $1,770, and $708, $1,416 and $2,124 on monthly billing. These assume Senja keeps its prices, which it can change.

Our Solo plan is $29 once for one space, and our Pro plan is $59 once for unlimited spaces. Solo costs the same as one month of Starter on monthly billing, and our Pro costs about as much as one year of Senja Pro.

That is not a like-for-like swap. It buys a smaller product, and the next section says where.

Who should stay, who should pay Senja, who can go pay-once

Stay on Senja Free if you have fewer than fifteen testimonials and Senja's badge is fine. You get video, analysis and widgets for nothing, and a paid alternative has nothing to add.

Pay for Starter or Pro if you record or host video testimonials, pull proof in from other review sites automatically, need Zapier or an API, translate testimonials, add star ratings to search results, or share the account with teammates. Our product does none of those.

Our KiwiProof fits when the cap and the branding are the only reasons you would upgrade. It collects text and photo testimonials, with a video only as a pasted YouTube or Loom link, lets you approve them first, and shows them as a wall, carousel or single quote with no vendor badge. It also reads a Senja CSV export, with a preview before anything is saved, and sends each new testimonial to any tool through a signed webhook. Check your setup against both lists before you move.
