Frill pricing explained: what each tier caps and adds

Frill sells a feedback board, a roadmap, announcements and surveys in four tiers: Startup, Business, Growth and Enterprise. This page reads Frill's own pricing page on 2026-10-11, in US dollars, with the monthly and yearly figures kept apart.

Frill does not charge by seat or by tracked user. Every paid tier lists unlimited admins and unlimited widgets, and the limits that decide your tier are the number of active ideas, the number of surveys and a few features sold as add-ons. That makes the bill predictable, but it also means the tier you need depends on what you switch on, not on the size of your audience.

We also make a pay-once alternative, so weigh our view with that in mind. Below we say plainly who should stay on Frill and what our product lacks.

What Frill does well

Surveys next to the board

Frill runs NPS, CSAT, open feedback, quick polls and idea polls embedded in your product, with one survey of each included on Startup and unlimited on Growth. Our license has no surveys at all, so a team that measures satisfaction this way should stay.

Announcements with real reach tools

Its announcements can be scheduled, boosted, segmented by audience, translated and commented on. We offer a changelog with an RSS feed and a widget dot, which covers publishing but not targeting.

No seat or user meter

Admins, widgets and tracked users are listed as unlimited on every paid tier. A company with ten people triaging feedback pays the same as one with two, while our plans stop at two or five admins.

Wider tooling for larger teams

Frill lists single sign-on, translations, a developer API, a priority matrix and customizable statuses, topics and priority factors in its comparison table, and sells SOC2 and dedicated hosting on Enterprise. We have none of those, so a buyer who needs them has their answer.

What Frill charges for: ideas and surveys, not people

Frill's headline promise is plans from $25 a month with unlimited admins and unlimited widgets on every paid tier. Teammates and tracked users are also unlimited across all four tiers in its comparison table. So the usual feedback-board surprise, a bill that grows with your audience, does not apply here.

The two real meters are active ideas and surveys. Startup allows fifty active ideas. Business and above list unlimited ideas. Surveys run one of each type on Startup, three on Business and unlimited on Growth, or unlimited anywhere through the Surveys add-on.

The third lever is the set of add-ons: Privacy, Surveys and White Labeling. Frill prints no price for the first two on its pricing page, which is why the plan table above shows them as not listed.

Startup and Business: the monthly versus yearly numbers

Startup is $25 billed monthly or $22 a month billed yearly. Over a year that is $300 against $264. Business is $49 monthly or $44 a month yearly, which is $588 against $528.

The gap between them is $24 a month at the monthly rate. For that you get unlimited active ideas and two more surveys of each type. If your board is nowhere near fifty active ideas and you run no surveys, Startup is the plan to read the page for.

Both tiers sell Privacy separately. Pre-approving ideas and users, private ideas and invite-only access sit behind that add-on on these two tiers, according to the comparison table.

Growth and Enterprise: what the jump buys

Growth is $149 monthly or $136 a month yearly, which is $1,788 against $1,632 a year. It folds in Privacy, unlimited surveys and white labeling, the three things sold as add-ons below it.

Enterprise is $349 monthly or $319 yearly, or $4,188 against $3,828 a year. It adds SOC2 compliance, audit logs, IP whitelisting, dedicated hosting and dedicated support, and the buttons lead to a sales call.

White labeling alone is $100 a month according to Frill's help center, so adding it to Business brings that tier to $149, the same as Growth. That is worth checking before you buy the add-on.

Three-year cost next to a pay-once license

On yearly billing, Startup costs $264 in one year, $528 in two and $792 in three. Business costs $528, $1,056 and $1,584. Growth costs $1,632, $3,264 and $4,896. Those assume Frill never raises its prices, which it can.

Our Solo plan is $39 once and our Pro plan is $79 once. Solo covers one project, two admins and two thousand notification emails a month. Pro covers unlimited projects, five admins and ten thousand emails a month. A project can have private boards and a custom domain, with no vendor branding on the public pages or the widget.

That makes Solo cheaper than two months of Startup at the yearly rate. It is not a like-for-like swap, because Frill covers more ground, and the next section says where.

Who should stay, who should pay Frill, who can go pay-once

Stay on Frill Startup or Business if you run surveys, schedule announcements to segments, translate your board, or have more than five people triaging ideas. Those are the places where it is ahead and we do not try to match it.

Move to Growth or Enterprise if you need single sign-on, SOC2 or a dedicated host. We offer none of them.

FigVote suits a small product that wants a public feedback board with voting, a roadmap and a changelog on its own domain, and would rather pay once than keep a subscription running. It can also sign in your own customers from your app with a signed token, and it imports a Canny export if you are coming from there; moving from Frill means re-creating posts by hand or through a CSV you reshape yourself.
