Feedback board and roadmap · updated October 11, 2026
A Frill alternative for makers who'd rather pay once
Frill is a polished feedback board with a roadmap, announcements and surveys, and its pricing page is honest about what costs extra. Plans run from $25 a month to $349 a month, there is no per-seat charge, and the cheapest plan stops at 50 active ideas.
This page is for people who want a public board with votes, a roadmap and a changelog, and who balk at paying every month for it, particularly once private boards and branding removal come into the picture. FigVote costs $39, one time. Below is what each side includes, what Frill's own pages say about leaving, and the places where Frill is clearly ahead.
FigVote is a good fit if
- You run one or two products and want a public board, roadmap and changelog without a monthly bill
- You want private boards, a custom domain and no FigVote branding without climbing to a higher tier
- You would rather own the tool, with a 30-day notice and an export if it ever shuts down
- You are fine with voters signing in, by email and password, an email link, or from your own app with a signed token
Stay on Frill if
- You need Slack, Jira, Linear, Zendesk or Intercom connections, which FigVote does not have
- You need an API, anonymous voting, surveys or file attachments on posts
- You already pay for Frill and use its integrations, segmentation or announcements every week

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years
Growth is the cheapest Frill plan whose own description includes both Privacy and White Labeling, the two things FigVote gives you with a private board and no branding. If you only need a public board with no more than 50 active ideas, Frill's Startup plan at $25 a month is the closer match, and FigVote still costs less after two months.

What FigVote does
Only features that exist in FigVote today. If it isn't in this table, assume we don't have it.

| Several boards per project, each public or private; private boards are visible only to invited members (404 for everyone else) | Included | Not by design: Frill uses a single-board model with Topics instead of several boards; private ideas and a private board need Privacy |

| Merge duplicate posts: votes, comments and followers move to the kept post, a voter of both keeps one vote, and the old link redirects | Included | Smart merge and Similar Idea detection, listed on every plan |
| Public roadmap page with planned, in progress and shipped columns, built from the same posts | Included | Roadmap with drag and drop, micro roadmaps and show or hide columns; ETA and timeline view are marked Coming Soon |

| Webhooks on new posts and status changes: HMAC-signed JSON, or a Slack or Discord incoming webhook | Included | Webhooks and a Developer API, listed on every plan |
| Export posts, votes with voter emails and comments as JSON or CSV; delete a project or the whole account | Included | Bulk CSV import and export, listed on every plan |
| One custom domain per project (CNAME or A record, plus a DNS TXT record proving you control it); the board, posts, roadmap and changelog are served on it | Included | Listed on every plan in the pricing table; the help center files custom domains under white labeling |
| Invite admins by email (Solo 2, Pro 5, owner included) and unlimited members for private boards | Included | Unlimited teammates and managers on every plan |
Where Frill is better
Integrations FigVote does not have
Frill's help center has setup guides for Slack, Jira, Linear, Trello, Zendesk, Intercom and HelpScout, plus Zapier, Pabbly and Integrately. FigVote has webhooks and nothing else on that list. If your feedback has to land in a tracker automatically, Frill is the better tool.
A developer API and an MCP server
The pricing table lists SSO, a Developer API and an MCP server page on Frill. FigVote has none of them. Teams that script against their board need what Frill already ships. FigVote can sign your own users in with a token ('Identify your users'), but it has no API.
Surveys and a broader announcement toolkit
Frill adds NPS, CSAT, idea polls, quick polls and open-feedback surveys, and its announcements can be scheduled, boosted and segmented. FigVote has a changelog with an RSS feed and a widget dot, and that is all.
Priority scoring and translations
Frill lists a priority matrix, customizable priority factors, translations and multi-language announcements. FigVote has none of these. Both can take in a board exported from Canny.
Unlimited teammates on every plan
Frill's pricing page gives every plan unlimited teammates. FigVote sets two admins on Solo and five on Pro, and caps outgoing email each month. A larger team that wants everyone as an admin will notice the difference.
What Frill costs, from its own pricing page
On the US pricing page, billed monthly, Frill costs $25 for Startup, $49 for Business, $149 for Growth and $349 for Enterprise. Billed yearly, the same page shows $22, $44, $136 and $319 a month. Pricing is by plan, not by seat: the FAQ says every paid plan has unlimited team members and unlimited widgets, and the table shows unlimited tracked users on all four.
The limit you hit first is the one on Startup, which lists 50 active ideas. Business removes it. The page also treats three things as add-ons: Privacy, Surveys and White Labeling. Growth includes all three. Privacy is the one with no price on the page, so you find out what it costs when you add it.
What FigVote does today
Each project gets a public feedback board at its own address, with your name, logo and brand color, and no FigVote branding on public pages or the widget. You can run several boards per project, each public or private, and a private board is visible only to the members you invite. Everyone else gets a 404.
Voting is one vote per account per post, and voting, posting and commenting need a sign-in by email and password or by an email link, or a token signed by your own app ('Identify your users', on Solo and Pro). Reading a public board does not. You can approve new posts before they go public, edit, pin and tag them, and move them through open, planned, in progress, shipped and closed. Merging duplicates moves votes, comments and followers to the post you keep, and the old link redirects.
There is a public roadmap built from the same posts, a changelog with RSS where publishing an entry can mark its posts shipped, and a one-line script that adds a Feedback button. You can export posts, votes with voter emails and comments as JSON or CSV, put one custom domain on each project, and send webhooks on new posts and status changes, signed JSON or a Slack or Discord incoming webhook.
What Frill says about cancelling or downgrading
Frill's pricing page has an FAQ entry, "Is there a free trial?", that answers: "Yes. Every paid plan has a 14-day free trial — no credit card required. You can also start on the free tier and upgrade when you need more. Cancel any time, no lock-in contracts." Another entry, "Can I downgrade at anytime?", answers: "Yes, we don’t have lock-in contracts." Both are on https://frill.co/pricing.
We could not find a page on frill.co or in its help center that says what happens to your board, your posts or your custom domain after you cancel or move down a plan. The terms page we read does not cover it either. That is a gap in what Frill publishes, not a claim that anything is lost. Ask Frill before you build on a tier you might leave, and export your ideas, votes and comments first: the help center describes CSV exports from Settings.
Who should keep paying for Frill
If your board feeds Jira or Linear, or if you run NPS and CSAT surveys from the same tool, FigVote is not a replacement and $39 will not make up the difference in hours. Frill's list is long on purpose, and the extra cost buys real work.
If you want a board that visitors can read, vote on and comment on, a roadmap and a changelog that are generated from the same posts, private boards for customers who are invited, and a domain of your own, FigVote covers it for a single payment. The comparison gets clearer the longer you plan to keep the board running.
What a lifetime license means here
FigVote is a one-time $39 purchase. Lifetime means for as long as we run the app. If we ever shut it down, you get 30 days' notice and an export of your data. There is also a 14-day full refund. I am Martin, a French solo founder, and a refund request goes to a person.
FAQ
How much does Frill cost per month?
On Frill's US pricing page, billed monthly: Startup $25, Business $49, Growth $149 and Enterprise $349. Billed yearly, the page shows $22, $44, $136 and $319 a month. Source: https://frill.co/pricing, checked 2026-10-10.
Does Frill have a free plan?
The pricing table lists four paid plans and no free one, and the banner says 14-day free trial, no credit card required. The FAQ also says you can start on the free tier. Those two statements do not line up on the page, so check at sign-up what you actually get.
Which Frill plan do I need for private boards and no branding?
The pricing page lists Privacy and White Labeling as add-ons, both included in Growth at $149 a month. Frill's help center says white labeling needs the White Label add-on at $100 a month or a Growth or Enterprise plan. The Privacy add-on has no price on the page.
Does FigVote have integrations like Jira, Linear or Zapier?
No. FigVote sends webhooks on new posts and status changes, as signed JSON or to a Slack or Discord incoming webhook. It does not connect to Jira, Linear, Zendesk or similar tools, and it has no API.
What happens to my Frill board and domain if I cancel?
Frill's pricing page says you can cancel any time with no lock-in contracts. We found no Frill page that says what happens to the board, posts or custom domain afterwards, so we do not state it. Export your data first.
Can I move my ideas from Frill to FigVote?
Not automatically. FigVote has no import from Frill; the only import it has reads a Canny export. Frill can export ideas, votes and comments as CSV, and you can re-enter the ones that matter by hand, which is realistic for a few dozen posts and not for a large board.
What is the difference between FigVote Solo and Pro?
Both are one-time payments. Solo ($39, one project) allows 2 admins and 2,000 emails a month per license, and Pro ($79, unlimited projects) allows 5 admins and 10,000 emails a month. Solo costs $39. Check the app for the Pro price.
Pay once. Keep it.
FigVote is $39 one time. The bundle is $29 one time and includes FigVote and our other live apps, with future updates.
