Acuity Scheduling pricing explained, plan by plan

Acuity Scheduling, which belongs to Squarespace, has no free plan. You get a 7-day trial with no credit card needed, then you pick one of three plans: Starter, Standard or Premium. A fourth option, Enterprise, is sold through a sales contact form. Every price here was read from Acuity's own pricing page on 2026-10-10, in US dollars, with both the pay-annually and pay-monthly switch checked.

What you pay is set by the number of calendars, not by the number of clients who book. Starter covers one calendar, Standard six and Premium thirty-six. A calendar is one employee or one location, so a solo practitioner stays on Starter and a clinic with several chairs moves up. The page also locks a few features behind the higher tiers, and those are what usually push a small business to upgrade.

What Acuity Scheduling does well

Payments are in every plan

Starter already takes payments and deposits through Stripe, Square, PayPal or Venmo. If you charge when someone books, that is a core feature that you do not pay extra for on the entry tier.

Intake forms and reminders from the start

Custom client forms and confirmation, reminder and follow-up emails are listed on all three plans. Standard and Premium add text message reminders, so you can reach people who ignore email.

Packages, memberships and a waitlist

Standard sells appointment packages with payment plans, subscriptions, memberships and gift certificates, and lets clients join a waitlist for full slots. Those are business features a plain booking page does not try to cover.

Many calendars and a HIPAA option

Premium goes to 36 calendars with per-staff time zones and offers a signed BAA for HIPAA compliance. A practice with several providers gets a structure that a one-person tool cannot match.

Trial first, then a paid plan

Acuity's FAQ says it does not offer free appointment scheduling at this time. The 7-day trial exists so you can test before paying, and the pricing page notes that no credit card is needed to start it. After the trial you choose a plan.

If you only want a booking link to try out for a week, that works. If you want something to run for months at no cost, there is no free tier to fall back on, which is the first thing to settle before you build your whole booking flow inside it.

Yearly versus monthly billing

The page opens on pay annually and labels it save 20 percent. On that switch the plans read $16, $27 and $49 a month. Flip to pay monthly and the same plans read $20, $34 and $61.

Per year, Starter is $192 on the annual rate and $240 on the monthly rate, a $48 gap. Standard is $324 against $408, and Premium is $588 against $732. The FAQ says you can start the trial, then switch to annual billing in your account settings.

What the plans cost over one, two and three years

Starter on annual billing comes to $192 after one year, $384 after two and $576 after three. On monthly billing that is $240, $480 and $720. Standard on annual billing reaches $972 over three years, and Premium reaches $1,764.

Those figures assume Acuity keeps today's prices and that you stay on the same plan. The FAQ states that listed prices exclude applicable taxes, so your real invoice may be higher depending on where you live.

Which plan fits which business

Starter suits one person with one calendar who wants payments, forms and reminders. Standard suits a small team or a business that sells packages and memberships. Premium suits a practice that needs a HIPAA agreement, per-staff time zones or a scheduler without the Acuity footer.

Note that removing the Powered by Acuity line is a Premium feature. If you are on Starter and care about a clean page, that single detail is the difference between $16 and $49 a month on yearly billing.

Where a one-time booking app can fit

PeachCalendar costs $30 once. It works with Google Calendar only and does not take payments, so a business that charges at booking should stay with Acuity. It also has no SMS reminders, no waitlist and no custom intake questions.

What it does give you is unlimited event types of 15 to 120 minutes, weekly availability and date exceptions, a Google Meet link per booking, a public booking page, an embed for your site, and per-event branding with the badge hidden. For someone who bought Starter only for a booking page, $30 once is less than two months of Starter on the monthly rate.

FAQ

Does Acuity Scheduling have a free plan?

No. Acuity's own FAQ says it does not offer free appointment scheduling at this time. It offers a 7-day free trial, and the pricing page says no credit card is needed to start it.

How much does Acuity Scheduling cost per month?

On yearly billing, Starter is $16, Standard $27 and Premium $49 a month. On monthly billing they are $20, $34 and $61. Prices exclude taxes and were read on 2026-10-10.

What forces an upgrade from Starter?

A second calendar, text reminders, a waitlist, packages, memberships or gift certificates all start on Standard. Removing the Acuity logo and the HIPAA BAA start on Premium.

Can I cancel Acuity Scheduling at any time?

Acuity's FAQ says you can cancel your account completely and that there are no set-up, cancellation or support fees. Check the terms shown at checkout for how a yearly plan is handled.

Is there a one-time alternative to Acuity for simple bookings?

Yes, for simple cases: a $30 one-time booking app that works with Google Calendar only. It does not collect payments, so it fits people who bill clients separately and only need a booking page.
