Trello pricing explained, with the 3-year math
Trello sells four plans: Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise. Every figure on this page was read from Trello's own pricing page on 2026-10-10, in US dollars, with the yearly and the monthly billing toggle both checked.
The question most small teams ask is simple: what does five people on Trello cost over one year and over three? The short answer is nothing while you stay on Free, $300 a year on Standard with yearly billing, and $900 over three years. The rest of this page shows where Free stops and which plan you land on.

What forces an upgrade
Each row links to the Trello page it comes from.
| From | To | What pushes you there |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Standard | You need an 11th board in a Workspace, or more than 10 collaborators in it. Free caps both, and Standard removes both caps.source, 2026-10-10 |
| Free | Standard | You want advanced checklists, Custom Fields, card mirroring or files above 10MB. These start on Standard.source, 2026-10-10 |
| Standard | Premium | You want to see cards as a Calendar, Timeline, Table, Dashboard or Map, or you run past 1,000 command runs a month. Those views and unlimited runs start on Premium.source, 2026-10-10 |
| Premium | Enterprise | You need more than one Workspace, organization-wide permissions, multi-board guests or Power-Up administration. These start on Enterprise.source, 2026-10-10 |

What Trello does well
A Free plan with real room
Free gives unlimited cards, up to 10 boards per Workspace and up to 10 collaborators, with no time limit. A group of five that keeps a handful of boards never has to pay.
Mobile and desktop apps on every plan
The comparison table lists iOS, Android and desktop apps as included on Free and on every paid plan. If you move cards from your phone, that matters more than any price.
Automation and Power-Ups
Built-in no-code automation is on every plan, and Power-Ups are unlimited per board even on Free. The table counts more than 200 apps you can plug in, though some partner Power-Ups charge their own fee.
Views beyond the board
Premium adds Calendar, Timeline, Table, Dashboard and Map views, plus Workspace-level Table and Calendar views. If you plan work against dates or report on progress, the board alone will feel thin.
Where the Free plan stops
Trello's pricing page puts the Free limits in two places: a line saying Free is for up to 10 collaborators per Workspace, and a line in the feature list saying up to 10 boards per Workspace. Nothing else in Free is metered by time, so those two numbers are the real boundary.
A team of five is inside the collaborator limit, which means the board count decides. One board per project, a few for recurring routines, and you hit ten faster than you expect. Archiving old boards is the free workaround. Once you stop wanting to archive, Standard is the first paid step.
Monthly or yearly billing
The page opens on yearly billing and shows Standard at $5 and Premium at $10 per user per month. Switch to monthly and the same plans read $6 and $12.50. Yearly billing saves $1 per user per month on Standard and $2.50 on Premium.
Enterprise is different. The page shows $17.50 per user per month but states that it is billed annually, at $210 per user per year. No monthly price is listed for it, so this page records it as not offered.
What a team of five pays over one and three years
Five users on Standard with yearly billing cost $25 a month, so $300 a year and $900 over three years. On monthly billing it is $30 a month, $360 a year and $1,080 over three years. One person on Standard with yearly billing pays $60 a year, or $180 over three.
Five users on Premium with yearly billing cost $50 a month, so $600 a year and $1,800 over three years. These figures assume Trello keeps the prices it shows today, which it can change at any time. That is why each fact on this page carries the date it was read.
Do you really need Standard?
Standard sells unlimited boards and collaborators, plus extras such as card mirroring, Custom Fields and the AI features. If your only reason to upgrade is the 10-board cap, you are renting a lifted limit, per person, forever.
Premium is a bigger decision. It is the plan for people who work in Timeline or Calendar views, want a Dashboard, or need admin controls. If you do not touch those, going from Standard to Premium doubles the bill for nothing you use.
Who should pick which plan, and where a one-time board fits
Stay on Free if you have fewer than 10 boards and fewer than 10 collaborators. Take Standard if you need the caps gone and the extras are welcome. Take Premium for the views and admin controls. Enterprise is for organizations that need several Workspaces and organization-wide permissions.
GuavaTeam costs $20 once and has no reminders, no email notifications and no mobile apps. It covers boards, lists, cards, labels, checklists, due dates, assignees, comments and sharing a board by email, and the price does not depend on how many boards you create. It fits a small group paying Standard only for the board cap, and it does not fit anyone who needs the phone apps, Power-Ups or the Premium views.
