QR Code Generator Pro pricing explained, plan by plan
QR Code Generator Pro (qr-code-generator.com, now part of Bitly) sells three self-serve plans, Starter, Advanced and Professional, plus a custom Enterprise offer. Prices below come from its own pricing page, read on 2026-10-11 in US dollars, and exclude VAT. There is a 14-day free trial, and the page says no credit card is needed to start it.
The number that decides your bill is not the scan count. It is the count of dynamic QR codes, the ones whose destination you can change after printing. Starter allows 2, Advanced 50 and Professional 250. Static codes are free everywhere, so what you pay for is control over a code once it is on paper.

What QR Code Generator does well
An API and several users
Advanced and Professional list API requests, a second to a fifth user, and Enterprise adds white labeling. If colleagues share a code library or your software generates codes, that is what the subscription pays for.
Twenty-two code types
The page says you can pick from 22 types of QR code, for sharing documents, collecting feedback, booking, payment or registration. A tool built around short links and plain destinations does not match that range.
Bulk creation and a fuller design toolkit
Professional creates 500 codes from one CSV upload and the page highlights branding with logos, colors and frames. Real-time scan tracking by place, time and frequency is also part of the pitch.
A trial without a card
You get 14 days to test the product before paying, and the trial does not switch to a paid plan by itself. That is a fair way to judge the editor and the tracking.
What each plan changes
Starter is built for a single person with a couple of codes. It gives 2 dynamic codes, 10,000 scans of tracking and one user, which fits a business card and one menu but not much more.
Advanced raises the cap to 50 dynamic codes and removes the scan limit, then adds CSV bulk creation of 100 codes, 3,000 API requests a month and a second user. Professional goes to 250 codes, 500-code uploads, 10,000 API requests, 5 users and premium support.
The code cap is the real limit
On the pricing page, the dynamic code count is described as the total number of codes you can create and edit. It is a ceiling on what you hold, not a monthly allowance, so a restaurant with 20 table codes, a flyer and a packaging code is already past Starter.
That is why the first real step is a jump from $9.99 to $18.99 a month. The step after that, to 250 codes, costs $49.99 a month. Whatever number of codes you honestly need, find the plan that holds it before you compare headline prices.
Billing, trial and cancelling
Only Starter can be paid monthly, at $19.99. Advanced and Professional are billed annually, and every subscription renews automatically until you cancel. The page also says that you can upgrade at any time and receive a prorated refund, but downgrading is only possible after the first contract period.
The pricing FAQ states a notice period of 30 days before the end of the billing cycle. The vendor's help article on cancelling gives a different, shorter figure: cancel at least one day before the renewal date, because a renewal that has processed cannot be cancelled. Read both before you pay, and set a reminder well ahead of your renewal date.
What happens to your codes after you cancel
According to the help centre, your dynamic codes keep redirecting through the end of the period you paid for and for 30 more days after it. During those 30 days you cannot edit them. After that the account is locked and the codes redirect to a service page instead of your destination.
Static codes are not affected, since they hold the destination directly. This matters for anything printed: stop paying and the dynamic codes on your packaging or posters stop pointing where you meant them to, about a month after the paid period ends.
What one plan costs over one, two and three years
Starter on yearly billing is $119.88 after a year, $239.76 after two and $359.64 after three; on monthly billing it is $239.88 for a year. Advanced is $227.88, $455.76 and $683.64. Professional is $599.88, $1,199.76 and $1,799.64. These assume the vendor keeps today's prices, which it can change.
Each figure covers the plan's included users, so an extra person does not change the price on the page. A team that outgrows 5 users has to ask for an Enterprise quote.
Who can pay once instead
If you need dynamic QR codes and short links on your own domain with basic scan counts, LimeQR is a one-time purchase: $19 for Solo with 100 codes, or $39 for Pro with 1,000 codes. Scans are shown per day, country and device type for the last 30 days. A static version of each code can be downloaded and works without it.
Set that against the plans above. A hundred dynamic codes is more than Advanced allows, so the closest match is Professional at $599.88 a year, while Solo is $19 once. It does not offer an API, several users, code types beyond links, or landing pages, so a team that needs them should stay with QR Code Generator Pro.
FAQ
How much does QR Code Generator Pro cost per month?

Does QR Code Generator Pro have a free trial?
Yes. The page offers 14 days free, and its help centre says the account does not switch to a paid plan on its own when the trial ends. Free static codes are available separately from the paid plans.
How many dynamic QR codes do I get?
Starter allows 2 dynamic codes in total, Advanced 50 and Professional 250. The page defines the figure as the total number of codes you can create and edit, so it is a cap on what you hold.

The vendor's help article says they keep redirecting until the end of your paid period and for 30 more days, during which they cannot be edited. After that, they redirect to a service page. Static codes keep working.
Can I pay for QR Code Generator Pro once?
Not on its pricing page, which lists monthly and annual billing with automatic renewal. If you want to pay once, see the section above on who can pay once instead.
