A Wufoo alternative with no entry caps and no renewal

Wufoo is a long-running form builder, now part of SurveyMonkey. Its free plan gives you 5 forms and 100 entries a month, and that is enough for plenty of people. The squeeze comes with the first paid plan: Starter is $16.25 a month billed yearly ($195 a year), and it still stops at 10 forms and 1,000 entries a month. Go over and each extra entry costs $0.05.

MangoForm is a smaller tool that does a narrower job. It builds one-question-at-a-time forms and surveys, with no limit on how many forms or responses you have, for $25 paid once. Wufoo takes payments, accepts file uploads and runs automated rules after a submission. MangoForm does none of those, and this page says plainly who should stay on Wufoo.

MangoForm is a good fit if

  • You pay for Wufoo mainly to get past the form count or the monthly entry limit
  • Your forms are contact forms, event sign-ups, feedback surveys or applications that collect text, choices and ratings
  • You would rather show one question at a time than a long page of fields
  • You want a single payment you can forget about instead of a yearly renewal

Stay on Wufoo if

  • You take payments through your forms, or let people attach files to a submission
  • You rely on Wufoo's form rules, confirmation emails to respondents or its reports builder
  • You stay inside the free plan's 5 forms and 100 entries a month, where there is nothing to save

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years

Starter is the cheapest paid plan, at its yearly-billing rate of $16.25 a month. It is the first step past the free plan's caps, so it is the fair comparison for someone who has outgrown 5 forms and 100 entries. We don't use Professional, which adds payments and password protection that MangoForm doesn't replace. Wufoo's free plan is the better choice if you stay under its limits.

Where Wufoo is better

Payments and file uploads

Wufoo lets you collect payments through gateways such as Stripe, PayPal and Square, and respondents can attach files to a form, with storage from 1 GB to 20 GB depending on the plan. MangoForm can't take payments and has no file upload question. If your form is an order form or a job application with a CV, Wufoo is the right tool.

Rules, confirmation emails and reports

Wufoo runs form rules after a submission, sends a confirmation email to the respondent from Starter up, and offers unlimited reports with custom report building. MangoForm emails you about new responses, and it doesn't send anything to the person who filled the form in. If that confirmation message is part of your process, keep Wufoo.

Bigger plans and a long track record

Wufoo scales up to 200,000 entries a month and 60 user seats on the Ultimate plan, and it has been around for years. MangoForm has workspaces with member invites, but it is a small product from one person. If you need a vendor with support tiers and large account limits, that matters.

A free plan that works for small jobs

Five forms and 100 entries a month cost nothing. A club sign-up or a one-off event form will fit inside that. Paying $25 would only be worth it once you start hitting the limits, or when Wufoo deactivates a form because the month's entries ran out.

What the Wufoo limits look like in practice

Wufoo counts three things: forms saved on the account, entries per month across all forms, and, on the free plan, fields per form. Free allows 5 forms, 100 entries a month and 10 fields per form. On a free account, a form is deactivated when it passes the monthly entry limit, so a busy week can close your own sign-up page until the month rolls over.

Paid plans don't stop at the limit. Wufoo's pricing page says that on a paid account, going over the monthly entries is billed at $0.05 per extra entry at the end of the billing period. That keeps your form online, and it also means a popular form can raise the bill. Starter includes 1,000 entries a month, so a thousand extra entries would add $50 to that month.

The price of staying on Wufoo

Starter is $22 a month if you pay monthly, or $16.25 a month if you pay $195 for the year. Professional, the first plan with unlimited forms, is $45 monthly or $33.25 a month on the yearly price, $399 for the year. Those are the prices on Wufoo's own pricing page, checked on 2026-10-10.

MangoForm is $25 once. Against the Starter yearly rate, the first year costs $195 on Wufoo and $25 here, and each later year is another $195. Against Starter's monthly rate the gap opens faster. The yearly figures below use the yearly price, the lower of the two Starter prices.

What you get with MangoForm instead

MangoForm shows one question at a time with a progress bar. There are around 20 question types, including rating, NPS, opinion scale, ranking and matrix. You can jump to a different question or an end screen depending on the answer, change colors, fonts and the logo, add custom CSS, protect a form with a password and serve it from your own domain.

Responses go into a table in the dashboard that you can export as CSV, and each form shows views, starts, completion rate and average time. You can get an email on each new response or a daily summary. For automation, MangoForm posts a JSON webhook on each submission, with an optional secret header and no retries, and can send responses to a Zapier hook. It also has a read-only REST API with a key you create in Settings. It has no write API.

Moving a Wufoo form over

There is no importer. You rebuild each form in MangoForm, which for a contact form or a short survey takes a few minutes, and a template gallery gives you a starting point. Export your old entries from Wufoo before you cancel, since your data lives there. Anything built on payments, uploads or form rules has no equivalent in MangoForm, so leave those forms where they are.

FAQ

Is Wufoo's free plan enough for me?

If you run a few simple forms and get fewer than 100 entries a month, yes, and you should stay. The free plan covers 5 forms and 10 fields per form. MangoForm starts to make sense when you hit those caps and Wufoo's answer is a paid plan billed every year.

Does MangoForm accept payments or file uploads like Wufoo?

No. MangoForm has no payment field and no file upload question. Wufoo supports both, and file storage is part of its paid plans. If you need either, stay with Wufoo or pair a payment link with your form.

What happens when I pass Wufoo's entry limit and when I pass MangoForm's?

On a Wufoo paid plan you are charged $0.05 per entry over the monthly limit, and on the free plan the form is deactivated. MangoForm has no limit on forms or responses, so there is nothing to pass.

Is MangoForm really a one-time payment?

Yes, $25 once, no monthly fee. Lifetime means for as long as we run the app. If we ever shut it down, you get 30 days' notice and an export of your data. There is also a 14-day full refund.

Can I get MangoForm with other apps?

Yes. MangoForm is one of the apps in the $49 bundle, which is a one-time payment as well. A form can also end with a step that books a meeting in PeachCalendar when both apps are connected.
