Dynamic QR code and landing page platform · updated October 15, 2026

A Flowcode alternative you pay for once

Flowcode sells dynamic QR codes, short links and mobile landing pages, and its pricing page is written for brands that print codes on packaging and want to measure what happens next. Most of that page is about teams. One column is not: Pro Plus, listed at $25 a month billed annually, for individuals and small teams.

That is the plan this page looks at. If you are a freelancer, a restaurant, a shop or a small studio paying Pro Plus mostly to keep printed codes pointing at an address you can change, LimeQR does that job for $19 once. Below are Flowcode's prices as shown on its own page, the arithmetic, and a frank list of what Flowcode does that LimeQR does not.

LimeQR is a good fit if

  • You pay for Flowcode Pro Plus to keep a few dozen printed codes editable after they are on paper or packaging
  • You want scan counts per day, country and device, and nothing about who scanned
  • You create codes in batches from a spreadsheet and want a CSV of every short link back
  • You would rather pay once than carry $300 a year for the same codes

Stay on Flowcode if

  • You build Flowcode's mobile landing pages, forms or CRM hand-offs and use them to capture leads
  • You need several people working in the same account, or priority support and custom seat packages
  • You route scans by day of the week or by device, or pipe scan data to other tools
  • Flowcode's free plan already covers you: two dynamic codes are enough for a one-off event

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years

Pro Plus is the cheapest Flowcode plan that holds as many codes as LimeQR Solo needs for a small business (50 codes against 100). It is $25 a month billed annually, about $300 a year, against $19 once. Flowcode's Free plan has 2 codes, so if two is enough there is nothing to compare.

What LimeQR does

Only features that exist in LimeQR today. If it isn't in this table, assume we don't have it.

FeatureLimeQRFlowcode
Dynamic QR codes that encode a short link on the LimeQR domain; the owner can change the destination any time and the next scan follows (302, never cached)IncludedYes: 2 dynamic codes on Free, 50 on Pro Plus, tiered packages on Growth; the destination can be edited at any time
Scan counts per day, country and device type (mobile, tablet, desktop) for the last 30 days, stored as daily totals only: no IP address or user agent is kept; link previews and bots are not countedIncludedScan and click data by device, time and date; analytics cover up to 500 scans on Free and 6,000 on Pro Plus
Create codes in bulk from a CSV (destination, optional custom address and name): up to 100 rows per import on Solo, 500 on Pro, with a ZIP of the QR codes as SVGIncludedBulk code creation is listed in the comparison table, with 50 and 1,000 in the first two plan columns
Export every code with its short link and destination as CSV, also available without an active planIncludedCSV reports are listed in the comparison table
Custom domains: the owner connects a hostname they control (CNAME + a TXT record proving control); codes then work on https://<their domain>/<code> and their QR codes can encode it. Solo 1 domain, Pro 5. If they leave, they can point that domain elsewhereIncludedListed as a custom redirect domain in the comparison table; the page does not say which plan includes it
Per-country destinations: up to 10 country rules per URL code send scans from those countries to their own URL (set in the dashboard)IncludedSmart routing by day, device and location is listed in the comparison table
Read-only REST API for paid accounts: create read-only API keys (shown once, revocable) and list your links with scan counts and your custom domains over /api/v1, 60 requests a minute per keyIncludedAPI access is listed on Growth, $250 a month billed annually
QR design: code and background colors (contrast of 3:1 or more enforced), square, rounded or dot modules, square or rounded corner eyes, a PNG/JPEG/WebP logo in the center, an optional box or banner frame with up to 24 characters of textIncludedArtist-designed templates, advanced logo and HEX customization, and editing the design at any time are listed in the comparison table
A static QR that encodes the destination directly, downloadable from every code page: it works without LimeQR, but it cannot be edited and its scans are not countedIncludedNot listed on Flowcode's pricing page
Contact cards: a code type that opens a contact page (name, company, phone, email, website) with a Save contact button (.vcf), call and email links; edit the card later without changing the printed code; the static QR download holds the vCard itself; expiry dates work on cards tooIncludedNot listed on Flowcode's pricing page
Optional expiry date per code (off unless you set it): after that date the short link shows a "This link has expired" page instead of redirectingIncludedNot listed on Flowcode's pricing page

Where Flowcode is better

Landing pages and forms, not only redirects

Flowcode's plans count landing pages next to codes: Pro Plus allows up to 50 of them, and the comparison table lists mobile landing pages, forms, a page editor and eCommerce integrations. A scan can open a page Flowcode hosts, with a form that collects a contact. LimeQR sends a scan to an address you choose, or to a simple contact card, and stops there. If your printed code should open a page you build inside the same tool, Flowcode covers that and LimeQR does not.

Data you can act on

Flowcode lists scan and click data by device, time and date, advanced geo-location data, landing page click data, filtering, PDF exports, UTM traffic charts, scheduled email reports and data integrations such as webhooks and S3. LimeQR keeps daily totals per country and device for the last 30 days, with a CSV export of the scans. It has no report schedule and no hand-off to other tools. For an agency reporting to brands, Flowcode's list is the stronger one.

CRM integrations and an API

On Growth, Flowcode lists CRM integrations and API access, and the comparison table adds CRM contacts collected. LimeQR has no CRM connection. Its API is limited to what the Solo and Pro plans describe: read keys list your links with scan counts, and a write key creates, updates and retires short links and dynamic codes.

Routing rules and people

Flowcode lists smart routing by day, device and location, teams, custom admin permissions, priority support and compliance badges. LimeQR can send scans from up to 10 countries to their own address, and send phones to the right app store, but it has no rules by day or device, and an account is for one person with support from one developer. A company with a security review to pass should look at Flowcode first.

Why Flowcode users start looking around

Flowcode's pricing page opens with a demo request, then shows three plans. Free gives two codes and analytics for 500 scans. Pro Plus costs $25 a month if you pay for a year, and the toggle for monthly billing shows $60. Growth is $250 a month, annual only, and starts at 150 codes and landing pages.

The step from Free to Pro Plus is the one most small users feel. Two codes is a trial. A restaurant with a menu code, a review code and a Wi-Fi sign, or a studio with a code on each business card and flyer, passes it in a week. That puts them on a $300 yearly bill, for a tool whose bigger features are aimed at brands with marketing departments.

What LimeQR does today

A dynamic code in LimeQR encodes a short link on the LimeQR domain, or on your own domain if you connect one (1 on Solo, 5 on Pro, with a CNAME and a TXT record to prove control). The address is random, seven characters, or a custom one you choose. It is fixed once created and never reassigned after deletion. You change the destination whenever you like, and the next scan follows it through a plain 302 redirect that is never cached.

You can pick the code and background colors, with a contrast check, square, rounded or dot modules, a logo in the center and an optional frame with text. Designs can be saved and applied to new codes. Downloads are SVG, or PNG at 1024 or 2048 pixels, and every code page offers a static version of the code that points straight at the destination. It keeps working without LimeQR, but it cannot be edited and its scans are not counted.

Scan stats are daily totals per country and device type. No IP address or user agent is stored, and link previews and bots are not counted. You can download scans as CSV for one code or all codes over a date range, create codes in bulk from a CSV (100 rows on Solo, 500 on Pro), and export every code with its short link and destination, even without an active plan.

A code can also carry an expiry date, a start date and tags. Optional UTM parameters are added to the destination unless it already has them. One code can send iPhones to your App Store page and Android phones to your Google Play page, and a contact card code opens a page with a Save contact button that you can edit without reprinting.

Solo or Pro, and how the math works

Solo is $19 once and covers 100 codes with 10,000 tracked scans a month. Pro is $39 once and covers 1,000 codes with 100,000 tracked scans a month. Redirects have no monthly cap: above the tracked-scan quota, codes keep redirecting and only the counting pauses until the next month.

Against Flowcode Pro Plus at about $300 a year, Solo costs less than one month of the yearly rate. The honest question is what the extra money buys you. Landing pages, forms and smart routing are real work if you use them every week. If you only open the dashboard to repoint a link and look at a scan count, you are paying for a platform you do not use.

What you would lose by leaving Flowcode

Write down what you actually use before you decide. If the list contains landing pages, forms, CRM contacts or reports you send to a client, LimeQR will feel like a step back, and a lower price will not repay the hours of workarounds.

If the list is closer to "a code that points at a URL, that I can repoint after printing, with scan counts", a one-time purchase is a fair trade. You can also run both: leave your Flowcode codes where they are until the plan ends, and make new ones in LimeQR. A printed Flowcode points at Flowcode's address, so it stays under Flowcode's terms. Check them before you rely on a printed code after you stop paying.

Refunds and what you are buying

LimeQR is one payment for as long as the app runs, with future updates. If the app is ever discontinued, you get 30 days' notice and a data export. The purchase carries a 14-day full refund, and the F*ckSubscription bundle at $49 includes the Pro plan of LimeQR together with every other app.

FAQ

Does Flowcode have a free plan?

Yes. Flowcode's pricing page lists a Free plan with up to 2 Flowcodes, analytics for up to 500 scans and no ads. Paid plans start at Pro Plus, $25 a month billed annually.

What do Flowcode's plans cost in US dollars?

On the pricing page: Pro Plus is $25 a month billed annually, and its monthly toggle shows $60 a month. Growth is $250 a month, annual billing only. Prices checked on October 15, 2026.

What is the difference between LimeQR Solo and Pro?

Solo is $19 once and includes 100 codes and 10,000 tracked scans a month. Pro is $39 once and includes 1,000 codes and 100,000 tracked scans a month. Both are one-time payments.

Can I move my Flowcode codes to LimeQR?

Not as printed codes: a Flowcode code points at Flowcode's address, so it stays under Flowcode's plan. You create new codes in LimeQR, one by one or from a CSV of destinations, and reprint where you want to control the destination yourself.

What if I want out of LimeQR later?

You can export every code with its short link and destination as CSV at any time, even without an active plan, and each code page offers a static version that keeps working without LimeQR. The purchase is covered by a 14-day full refund.
