A Fillout Pro alternative for people who want to own the tool
Fillout's free plan is generous. You get unlimited forms, unlimited seats and 1,000 responses a month, plus payments, file uploads, scheduling forms, PDF generation and conditional logic. If your forms fit inside that, stay on Fillout and pay nothing. We are not going to talk you out of a free tool that does more than ours.
This page is for the smaller group that hits one of two walls. The first is the response cap: Starter allows 2,000 a month, Pro 5,000, and only Business is unlimited. The second is the badge: Fillout shows one on Free, a lighter one on Starter, and removes all branding only from Pro, at $40 a month on yearly billing. MangoForm costs $25 once, has no response cap and shows no badge by default. Below, the numbers with their sources, and a plain list of what Fillout does that we don't.
MangoForm is a good fit if
- You pay for Fillout Pro mainly to get the Fillout branding off your forms
- You are about to upgrade because a form passes 1,000 responses in a month
- Your forms are surveys, intake questionnaires, feedback or sign-ups that don't touch money or documents
- You prefer one question per screen with a progress bar over a long page
- You would rather pay once than carry another yearly renewal
Stay on Fillout if
- You are on Fillout Free and under 1,000 responses a month: it costs $0 and does more
- Your forms take payments, receive files, generate PDFs or collect signatures
- You use Fillout Workflows, calculations and scoring, or its long integration list as the core of your process

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years
Pro is the cheapest Fillout plan with no Fillout branding at all, which is the reason most people upgrade, so it is the fair comparison at $40 a month on yearly billing. It also caps you at 5,000 responses a month; unlimited starts at Business, $75. We don't list monthly-billing prices because the page shows only the yearly-billing rate per month. Against Free the saving is zero.

Where Fillout is better
Free plan covers more than ours does
Fillout gives you unlimited forms, unlimited seats and 1,000 responses a month for $0, with payments, file uploads, PDF generation and Workflows included. MangoForm has no free plan. If you stay under the cap and can live with the badge, Fillout is the cheaper answer.
Payments, files, signatures and PDFs
Fillout can collect payments, accept file uploads (up to 20 MB each on Free through Pro), generate PDFs and collect signatures from Starter up. MangoForm does none of these today, so a form that has to take money or receive a document belongs in Fillout.
Logic, calculations and automation
Fillout lists calculations and scoring, answer piping, pre-fill and hidden fields, a review page, resume in-progress forms and Fillout Workflows, all on the free plan. MangoForm has skip-to logic and a webhook, which is a much shorter list.
Integrations and scheduling
Fillout lists Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion, HubSpot, Mailchimp and more than 50 others, plus scheduling forms and a Calendly option from Starter. MangoForm sends a webhook on each response, can post to a Zapier hook, and can end a form with a booking step in PeachCalendar. That covers less ground.
Analytics and drop-off tracking at the top tier
Fillout's Business plan adds form analytics, conversion tracking, drop-off rates and partial submissions. MangoForm shows views, starts, completion rate and average time, but not where people quit.
Who should actually leave Fillout
Nearly everyone on Fillout Free should stay. The reason to look elsewhere is narrow: you run forms that bring in more than 1,000 responses a month, or you want your forms to carry nobody else's name, and you have noticed that both problems send you to a yearly plan.
Removing every trace of Fillout takes Pro, which is $40 a month when billed yearly, so $480 a year. Staying on Free keeps a badge on the form. Starter at $15 a month replaces the badge with light branding, which is a half measure. If a client sees your form and you want it to look like yours, Pro is the real price of that.
The math against Pro
Fillout Pro costs $40 a month on yearly billing, $480 over twelve months. MangoForm costs $25 once. After a little more than two weeks of Pro you have passed what MangoForm costs, and every later month is the difference. Over three years Pro is $1,440 against $25.
The comparison is not completely even. Pro caps responses at 5,000 a month, so a very busy form still pushes you to Business at $75 a month. MangoForm has no cap on forms or responses. If your volume is that high you probably also use Fillout features we don't have, and you should check the list below before you move anything.
What you get in MangoForm for $25
About 20 question types, including text, email, phone, number, date, dropdown, multiple choice, rating, NPS, opinion scale, ranking, matrix and yes/no. Forms show one question at a time with a progress bar, and skip logic can send people to a later question or an end screen depending on their answers. You can set your own colors, fonts and logo, add custom CSS, protect a form with a password, and serve a form on your own domain by adding the DNS record shown in the form's settings.
Behind the form there is a responses table, CSV export, views and completion stats, a template gallery you can add to, workspaces with member invites, and an email to you on each new response or a daily summary. There is a read-only REST API for forms and responses, using a key you create in Settings, and a webhook for each submission. The respondent interface comes in English and French.
Custom domains and branding without the top plan
On Fillout a custom domain is a Business feature, $75 a month on yearly billing. In MangoForm it is part of the one-time price. The same goes for custom CSS, which Fillout reserves for Pro and up. If those two features are what pushed you toward a higher Fillout tier, they are the clearest overlap with what MangoForm does.
Check your forms before moving
Open your three busiest Fillout forms and list the blocks they use. Payment, file upload, signature, calculation and PDF blocks all have no equivalent in MangoForm. If any of them is in a form you depend on, leave that form where it is. You can keep Fillout on the free plan for those and build the plain questionnaires in MangoForm, which is often the cheapest split.

Yes. Fillout's Free plan has unlimited forms, unlimited seats and 1,000 responses a month, with a Fillout badge on your forms. Paid plans are Starter at $15 a month, Pro at $40 and Business at $75, each on yearly billing, per its pricing page checked on 2026-10-10.
Why pay $25 for MangoForm if Fillout is free?
You probably shouldn't if Fillout Free is enough. MangoForm is for people who are paying for Fillout Pro to remove branding or to get past the response limit, and who would rather pay one time. It has no free plan.
Does MangoForm have a response limit?
No. MangoForm has no cap on forms or responses. Fillout limits responses to 1,000 a month on Free, 2,000 on Starter and 5,000 on Pro, and lifts the limit only on Business.
Can MangoForm take payments or file uploads like Fillout?
No. Fillout supports both, and MangoForm does not. If your form must take money or receive documents, use Fillout or another builder that does.
Does MangoForm show a badge on my forms?
The "Powered by" badge is off by default, and you can show it if you want to. On Fillout the badge comes off completely only on Pro.
Can I use my own domain with MangoForm?
Yes. Add the domain in the form's settings, set the DNS record shown, then verify it. On Fillout, custom domains need the Business plan.
Pay once. Keep it.
