Feedback board, roadmap and changelog, priced per board · updated October 22, 2026

A Feature Upvote alternative you pay for once

Feature Upvote sells a public feedback board where customers suggest and vote on features. Its pricing page shows two self-serve plans, Indie at $49 a month and Standard at $99 a month, and the price is per board. There is no free plan, only a 30-day trial that asks for no credit card. One board on Indie costs $588 over twelve months at the monthly rate.

FigVote covers the same core job for $39 once on the Solo plan: a public board under your own name, voting, comments, a roadmap and a changelog. Below you will find the prices Feature Upvote publishes, the things it does that FigVote does not, and a plain answer on who should keep paying.

FigVote is a good fit if

  • You pay for Feature Upvote mostly to run one public board with a roadmap and a changelog
  • You have two or three products and the per-board bill keeps growing with each one
  • You are comfortable with customers signing in to vote, and with an email when a request ships
  • You would rather pay once than renew a monthly charge for a tool your customers only touch to vote

Stay on Feature Upvote if

  • You need single sign-on with SAML, which Feature Upvote lists on both of its plans
  • Your team files requests through Jira or Microsoft Teams, or you build on Zapier
  • You want to use its MCP server, or the multi-language board
  • The board must be restyled with your own CSS, beyond a name, logo and color

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years

Indie is the cheaper of the two plans and the feature lists match; Standard only changes the support level. Comparing FigVote against Standard would double the gap for a difference in support response, so Indie is the fair comparison.

Where Feature Upvote is better

Single sign-on and a longer integration list

Both plans list SAML 2.0 single sign-on, Microsoft Teams, Jira and Zapier next to Slack and Discord. A team that logs staff in through an identity provider, or sends requests into Jira, gets those from day one. A $39 license does not try to match them.

Custom CSS and multiple languages

Feature Upvote lists custom CSS and a multi-language board on both plans. If the board must match a product's design to the pixel, or serve customers in several languages, that is a real reason to keep paying.

An MCP server and a REST API on every plan

The pricing page lists an MCP server and a REST API on both plans. Teams that pull feedback into their own tooling, or into AI assistants, will find more to work with there than in a read-only API.

Unlimited team members

Every Feature Upvote plan has unlimited team members and unlimited contributors per board. On FigVote, Solo allows two admins and Pro five, so a large support team hits the limit sooner.

What Feature Upvote charges, from its pricing page

The US pricing page shows Indie at $49 per board per month and Standard at $99 per board per month. A banner says 'Save 20% with yearly pricing', but the page prints no yearly per-month figure, so this page shows that number as not listed. There is no free plan. Every account starts with a 30-day free trial and no credit card. Cancelling has no penalty or minimum duration.

The part that grows the bill is the unit. The FAQ says the price is per feedback board, and that most customers use one board per product. A company with three products pays $147 a month on Indie, or $1,764 a year at the monthly rate. Enterprise pricing is on request, and it starts for customers who need more than 10 boards.

What you get with FigVote Solo

Each FigVote project gets a public board at its own address, carrying your name, logo and color with nothing of ours on public pages or the widget. A project can hold several boards, public or private, and a private one answers 404 to anyone you have not invited. Customers vote once per account and sign in with a password or an email link. You can hold new posts for approval, pin and tag them, merge duplicates, and move posts through open, planned, in progress, shipped and closed.

From the same posts FigVote builds a public roadmap and a changelog with an RSS feed. Publishing an entry can mark its posts shipped, and a status change emails the people who voted, at most once a day each. A one-line script adds a Feedback button to your site, and you can put the board on your own domain. Admins can add a vote on behalf of a customer who wrote by email, and you can export everything as JSON or CSV. Solo allows two admins and 2,000 notification emails a month. Pro allows five admins and 10,000.

The math against Indie

FigVote Solo at $39 once costs less than a single month of Feature Upvote Indie. Twelve monthly payments on one board come to $588, and over three years the total is $1,764 against $39. Each extra board on Feature Upvote adds another $49 a month, while a FigVote project can hold several boards.

That comparison holds only if you would use the same features. Indie includes single sign-on, Jira, Teams, Zapier, custom CSS and an MCP server that you may never open, and it has no limit on team members. If you do use them, the comparison is not like for like and you should stay.

Who should stay on Feature Upvote

Stay if you need SAML single sign-on, if your engineers triage requests in Jira, if the board must be translated or restyled with your own CSS, or if you feed it into other tools through the MCP server. FigVote has no answer to most of these, and a one-time price does not make up for losing them.

Move if you are paying $49 a month per board to run a feedback board, a roadmap and a changelog for one or two products. Export your data first. FigVote imports Canny exports but has no importer for Feature Upvote, so plan to re-enter the requests that still matter, and tell voters on the old board where the new one lives.

FAQ

How much does Feature Upvote cost per month?

On the US pricing page, billed monthly: Indie is $49 per board and Standard is $99 per board. Yearly billing is shown as 'Save 20% with yearly pricing' with no per-month figure. Source: https://www.featureupvote.com/pricing, checked 2026-10-22.

Does Feature Upvote have a free plan?

Its pricing page lists two paid plans and no free one. It offers a 30-day free trial with almost all features enabled and no credit card, and you keep your suggestions when you pick a paid plan.

Why does Feature Upvote get expensive with several products?

The price is per feedback board. Its FAQ says customers with several products typically use one board per product, so each product adds its own monthly charge. Some customers with similar products use one board and its tags instead.

Can I import my Feature Upvote posts into FigVote?

Not directly. FigVote imports Canny's CSV or JSON export and nothing else for now. Coming from Feature Upvote, you would re-enter the open requests you care about.

Does FigVote have single sign-on or Jira support?

No single sign-on. FigVote can link posts to GitHub or Linear issues, and your own signed-in users can vote through a token from your server. Keep Feature Upvote if SAML is a requirement, and check the Jira details before you move.

Is FigVote really a one-time payment?

Yes. Solo is $39 once and Pro is $79 once, and the F*ckSubscription bundle includes the Pro plan. Lifetime means for as long as we operate the app; if it is ever discontinued we give 30 days' notice and a data export. There is a 14-day full refund.
