A Cognito Forms alternative for people who only need more entries
Cognito Forms has a free Individual plan with unlimited forms, 100 entries a month and payments included. Most people who leave that plan do it for one of two reasons: they pass 100 entries, or they want the Cognito Forms branding off their form. Both reasons lead to Pro, which is $19 a month when billed yearly ($228 a year) or $24 a month when billed monthly.
MangoForm is a pay-once form builder with no cap on forms or responses and no branding badge by default. It costs $25 once. It is also a narrower tool. It cannot take payments, and it has none of the signatures, save and resume, or approval workflows that Cognito Forms sells on its higher plans. This page is for the people who bought Pro for entries and branding, and it says who should stay where they are.
MangoForm is a good fit if
- You upgraded from Individual to Pro because of the 100 entries a month limit or the Cognito Forms branding
- Your forms collect answers, sign-ups, applications or feedback, and money never changes hands inside them
- You like forms that show one question at a time instead of one long page
- You want to pay once instead of renewing a plan every year
Stay on Cognito Forms if
- You take payments through your forms, which Cognito Forms lists on every plan including the free one
- You rely on electronic signatures, save and resume, workflow and approvals or data lookups
- You stay under 100 entries a month and can live with the branding, where the free plan costs nothing

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years
Pro is the cheapest paid plan and the one that removes the branding and lifts the entry cap to 2,000 a month, so it is the fair comparison for someone leaving Individual. We use its yearly-billing rate of $19 a month, the lower of its two prices. Team and above add workflow features that MangoForm does not replace, and the free Individual plan is the better choice if you can live with 100 entries and the branding.

What MangoForm does
Only features that exist in MangoForm today. If it isn't in this table, assume we don't have it.
| Feature | MangoForm | Cognito Forms |

| "Powered by" badge off by default | Included | Pro plan and above; the free plan keeps Cognito Forms branding |

Where Cognito Forms is better
Payments on every plan
Cognito Forms lists payments as available on all plans, including the free one. You can build an order form, a registration with a fee or a deposit form and collect the money in the same place. MangoForm has no payment field, so a form that has to charge people belongs on Cognito Forms.
Signatures, save and resume, and workflows
Pro adds electronic signatures and save and resume, so someone can sign a contract inside a form or come back to finish a long one later. Team adds workflow and approvals and data lookups. MangoForm has none of these. If your forms are contracts, intake paperwork or multi-step approvals, Cognito Forms is built for that work.
A free plan that is not crippled
Individual gives you unlimited forms, 100 entries a month and payments for nothing. A small club, a one-off event or a side project can run there for years. Paying $25 only makes sense once you pass the entry cap or the branding bothers you.
Room to grow and compliance options
Enterprise is listed with unlimited entries, 20 user seats, HIPAA compliance and single sign-on, and Business adds an audit log and API requests. Cognito Forms also offers discounted rates to tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profits. MangoForm is one person's small product with workspaces and member invites, and it has none of those compliance options.
Where the Cognito Forms bill comes from
Cognito Forms charges for entries rather than forms. Every plan has unlimited forms, and what changes between plans is how many entries arrive each month, how many users share the account, and which extras are switched on. Individual allows 100 entries, Pro 2,000, Team 10,000 and Business 25,000. Only Enterprise is listed with unlimited entries.
For a solo owner the first jump is the one that matters. A form that gets a few hundred answers a month, or a client form that should not carry another company's logo, pushes you from free to Pro. The prices on Cognito Forms's own page, checked on 2026-10-11, are $19 a month billed yearly or $24 a month billed monthly.
The cost of Pro against a single payment
Pro billed yearly is $228 a year. Over three years that is $684, and the plan renews every time. MangoForm is $25 once, and that same payment also removes any worry about an entry counter, since neither forms nor responses are capped. Billed monthly, Pro runs $288 a year, so the gap is wider for anyone who has not committed to the annual term.
That comparison only holds if MangoForm does what your forms do. If none of your forms needs a payment, a signature or a workflow, you are paying Cognito Forms for capacity and branding, and capacity and branding are exactly what MangoForm sells at a flat price.
What MangoForm gives you instead
Forms show one question at a time with a progress bar, in around 20 question types that include rating, NPS, opinion scale, ranking and matrix. Skip logic sends people to a different question or an end screen based on their answers. You can set colors, fonts and a logo, add custom CSS, put a password on a form, and serve it from your own domain. The Powered by badge is off by default.
Answers collect in a table that exports to CSV, and every form reports views, starts, completion rate and average time. You can be emailed on each response or once a day. A webhook sends each submission as JSON to your URL, with an optional secret header, no signature and no retries, and you can point responses at a Zapier hook. A read-only REST API uses a key from Settings. There is no write API.
Moving over from Cognito Forms
There is no import from Cognito Forms, so each form is rebuilt by hand. A contact form or a survey takes a few minutes, and the template gallery gives you a start. Export your entries from Cognito Forms before you cancel, because that data stays in your Cognito account. Keep any form that takes payments or signatures on Cognito Forms. The free plan can hold those, even if your other forms move to MangoForm.
FAQ
Is the Cognito Forms free plan enough for me?
If you get fewer than 100 entries a month and can live with the Cognito Forms branding on your forms, yes, and you should stay. The free plan includes unlimited forms and payments. MangoForm becomes worth $25 when you hit the cap or want the branding gone without a yearly plan.
Can MangoForm take payments like Cognito Forms?
No. MangoForm has no payment field. Cognito Forms lists payments on every plan. If a form has to collect money, keep it on Cognito Forms or send people to a separate payment link after they submit.
What happens when I pass the entry limit on each?
Cognito Forms ties each plan to a monthly entry count, from 100 on Individual to 25,000 on Business, so heavier use means a higher plan. MangoForm has no cap on forms or responses, so there is no count to pass.
Is MangoForm really a one-time payment?
Yes, $25 once, with no monthly fee. Lifetime means for as long as we run the app. If we ever shut it down, you get 30 days' notice and an export of your data. There is also a 14-day full refund.
Can I get MangoForm together with other apps?
Yes. MangoForm is part of the $49 bundle, which is also a one-time payment. A form can end with a step that books a meeting in PeachCalendar once both apps are connected.
Pay once. Keep it.
MangoForm is $25 one time. The bundle is $29 one time and includes MangoForm and our other live apps, with future updates.
