One-page site builder · updated October 11, 2026
A Carrd alternative if all you build is a link page
Carrd builds one-page websites, and a lot of people use it for exactly one thing: a link-in-bio page. That works well, and it is cheap. Carrd's free plan puts its own branding on your page, and the cheapest plan that removes it, Pro Lite, is $9 a year. GrapeLink is $8, paid once.
I'll be straight about the size of the gap: at these prices the saving is tens of dollars over several years, not hundreds. Carrd is also a much more flexible tool than GrapeLink. This page gives you Carrd's current prices with sources, the math, and a plain list of what you would lose by switching, so you can tell whether it is worth it for you.
GrapeLink is a good fit if
- You use Carrd only as a link-in-bio page and pay each year mostly to drop the Carrd branding
- You'd rather have one payment and no renewal date to remember
- You want ready-made design controls for a link page without laying out a site element by element
- You keep several link pages (personal, project, client) under one account
Stay on Carrd if
- You publish a real one-page site with sections, forms, embeds or a payment button
- You are happy on Carrd's free plan with the Carrd branding visible, or on a $9 plan you never think about

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years
Pro Lite, $9 a year, is the cheapest Carrd plan that removes the Carrd branding, which GrapeLink also lets you hide. Carrd offers no monthly billing on its pricing page, so the comparison is per year. Carrd's page says you can renew automatically or pay as you go, so you can stop whenever you like; you just don't keep the Pro features after.

Where Carrd is better
It builds whole one-page sites, not just link pages
Carrd is a site builder. You can lay out sections, upload large images, GIFs and videos (up to 16 MB and 64 MB on Pro, per its pricing page), and make a landing page, a portfolio or a simple profile. GrapeLink makes a link page and nothing else.
Forms, embeds and payments on the page
Pro Standard at $19 a year adds contact and signup forms, payment-enabled forms and embeds for services like Stripe, PayPal, Gumroad and Typeform. GrapeLink has no checkout; its only form is an email sign-up block, and its only embeds are YouTube and Spotify players. If your page takes email signups or sells something, stay on Carrd.
A price that is hard to complain about
Nine dollars a year is not a heavy bill, and Carrd lets you pay as you go instead of auto-renewing. If a renewal of that size doesn't bother you, our one-time price is a convenience, not a rescue.
Who this comparison is really for
Carrd is a good product, and its yearly pricing is fair. The people who might prefer GrapeLink are a narrow group: someone who opened Carrd to make a link-in-bio page, upgraded to Pro Lite to remove the branding, and now gets a renewal every year for a page they set up once.
If that is you, the numbers are simple. GrapeLink costs $8 once. Carrd Pro Lite costs $9 every year. After one year you are even, after five years you have paid Carrd $45 against our $8, and the page keeps working the same either way. That is a real saving, but a modest one, and I would not tell anyone to rebuild a page for it unless the idea of a yearly renewal itself bothers them.
What you get with GrapeLink instead
GrapeLink is built around one layout: an avatar, a title, a short bio and a list of buttons. You add as many links as you want, drag them into order, hide one without deleting it and highlight a single link as a spotlight button. You can run several pages from one account, each with its own URL.
On the design side there are 14 preset gradient themes, or your own background, gradient, text and accent colors, a background image with opacity and blur, and choices for button shape, font, spacing, shadow and layout. The header can be classic or a full-width hero. A toggle hides the "Made with GrapeLink" footer. Each page gets a QR code and a share button, and the dashboard counts clicks per link with a device breakdown. All of this is in the $8, with no higher tier.
Moving a link page from Carrd
There is no import from Carrd (GrapeLink only reads public Linktree pages). A Carrd link page is usually a handful of buttons, so copying them across by hand takes a few minutes. Rebuild the look with a preset theme or your own colors, add your avatar and bio, then swap the URL in your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube profile.
Don't cancel the Carrd site straight away. Leave it published until your old posts and printed material have moved over. If you used a custom domain on Carrd, connect it to your GrapeLink page in the page settings (set the DNS record shown, then verify) once the new page is ready, so the address keeps working.
FAQ
Is GrapeLink really cheaper than Carrd?

Can GrapeLink replace a full Carrd site?
No. GrapeLink only makes link-in-bio pages. If your Carrd site has sections, contact forms, a payment button or embeds other than YouTube and Spotify, GrapeLink will not replace it and you should keep Carrd.
Does Carrd renew automatically?
