A Breeze alternative with a one-time payment

Breeze is a clean project management tool with one plan and no tiers. Its pricing page says $9 per user per month when you pay yearly, with every feature included and unlimited free client users. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and a single person is quoted a Solo plan at $14 a month.

This page is for small groups who use Breeze mostly as a board of lists and cards, and who notice that the bill grows with each teammate. GuavaTeam is a kanban board that costs $20 once, and the people you invite to a board join and edit it for free. Below you'll find Breeze's prices with their source, the math over several years, what GuavaTeam actually does, and an honest list of what Breeze does better.

GuavaTeam is a good fit if

  • You pay Breeze for boards, lists, cards, due dates and checklists, and you rarely open the other modules
  • Your team is two to ten people and the per-user bill is what bothers you
  • You want swimlanes, WIP limits, filters, custom fields and card dependencies on a kanban board
  • You share boards with clients or freelancers who should edit a board without buying a seat
  • You'd rather pay $20 once than add another monthly subscription

Stay on Breeze if

  • You rely on Breeze's time tracking, budgets, hourly rates or reports: GuavaTeam has none of them
  • You need iOS or Android apps, team chat inside the tool, web forms or an API
  • You depend on Breeze's integrations, its email inbox for tasks or its roadmaps
  • You want a ready-made Gantt-style plan across many projects at once

The math over 1, 3 and 5 years

The per-user plan at $9 a month on yearly billing is the cheapest way to cover what GuavaTeam does, so we use it. It is billed per user, so each person who needs an account adds $9 a month. Breeze's free client users are not counted. A single person is quoted the Solo plan at $14 a month instead.

Where Breeze is better

Time tracking, budgets and reports

Breeze's features page lists time tracking reports, project budgets and hourly rates, task completion reports, lead and cycle times, and public reports. GuavaTeam has a small analytics page with board and card counts, completion rate and overdue cards, and nothing about hours or money. If you bill clients by the hour, Breeze does a job we don't try to do.

Mobile apps, chat and forms

Breeze's pricing page lists mobile apps for iOS, Android and web, and its features page adds project chat, an email inbox that turns messages into tasks, and a form builder with public and internal forms. GuavaTeam is used in the browser only and has no mobile apps, no chat and no forms. Phone users and teams that run requests through forms should stay.

Integrations, API and an AI assistant

Breeze lists integrations and add-ons, an API, files from Google Docs, Dropbox, Box and OneDrive, and a Breeze AI assistant that answers questions about your projects. GuavaTeam sends chosen board events to your own URL as signed webhooks, but it has no ready-made third-party connections and no public API for the rest of your tools.

Roadmaps and a master board

Breeze can combine all projects on one master board and build roadmaps you can share with a team or clients. GuavaTeam keeps each board separate and has no master board or roadmap. Someone who plans many projects together will miss that.

Support and maturity

Breeze says it offers human support, and its home page shows customer logos. GuavaTeam is a much smaller product, so expect fewer polish details and slower answers to edge cases.

What a Breeze seat costs over time

Breeze's pricing page shows $9 per user per month with yearly billing selected, which is $108 a year for one seat. Over three years that is $324 and over five years $540. Add a second teammate and the figures double, because Breeze bills each user. The page says client users are free, so the count that matters is how many people on your side need a paid account.

GuavaTeam is $20 once. For one person it costs less than three months of Breeze on yearly billing. For three people it replaces $27 a month, or $324 a year, and the people you invite to a board join and edit it for free, so there is no seat to count. Only creating your own boards or a team needs a purchase.

The pricing page does not show a separate monthly price, so we leave it blank in the table. It only says that yearly billing saves 10%. A single user is quoted the Solo plan at $14 a month. GuavaTeam is also in the F*ckSubscription bundle, $49 regular for every app, which only matters if you'd use the others too.

What you get with GuavaTeam

You create boards from a dashboard, then fill them with lists and cards that you add, rename, reorder, archive or delete. Drag and drop moves lists and cards, and other people on the same board see changes live. A card opens into a dialog with a title, a description, colored labels you define per board, assigned members, a start date, a due date, checklists with progress counts, file uploads up to 10 MB, and comments with @mentions.

The features that matter for a Breeze user are mostly there. Each list can have a WIP limit, and its header turns red when the count goes over. Board view can group cards into swimlanes by assignee, label or a dropdown field. Custom fields (text, number, date, dropdown or checkbox) show on cards and in the CSV export with no quota. A card can be marked as blocked by other cards on the same board, with a Blocked badge on the board, the table and the timeline. A filter by label, member and due date works across the board, table, calendar and timeline views.

Simple automations run when a card moves into a list or a checklist is complete, and one can create a card from a template every day, week or month. A private calendar feed shows your due dates in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook. Each board can be exported as CSV or JSON, and per-board webhooks send card events to your own URL, signed and retried. You also get an opt-in daily email of what is due and an email when someone assigns you a card or mentions you.

Where Breeze is the right answer

Breeze is built as a full project tool, and some of what you pay for is plainly beyond a board. If you track billable time, report on cycle times, run client requests through forms, keep conversations in project chat or need the mobile apps, then the $9 buys things GuavaTeam does not offer. Switching would cost you more than it saves.

The case for GuavaTeam is narrow. Your team uses Breeze as a kanban board with dates, checklists and a few custom fields, nobody opens the reports, and the bill goes up whenever someone joins. If a plain board with swimlanes, WIP limits and card dependencies covers your week, $20 once is a fair trade.

A quick test: list what you opened in Breeze last month. Each of time logs, reports, forms, chat, the mobile app and the integrations is something GuavaTeam lacks today. If that list is short, try the board on a real project.

Moving over

GuavaTeam imports a Trello board from its JSON export, and it has no import for Breeze. Breeze exports every project in HTML and JSON, and its features page says tasks can also be copied in from spreadsheets, so the practical route is to recreate your lists and paste cards in. Do one project first, and keep Breeze running until the new board feels right. Our refund policy covers 14 days, which gives you time to try it on real work before the decision is final.

FAQ

Does Breeze have a free plan?

No. Its pricing page offers a 14-day free trial and then one paid plan at $9 per user per month with yearly billing. Client users are free. GuavaTeam is a one-time $20 payment.

Can GuavaTeam replace Breeze's time tracking and reports?

No. GuavaTeam has no time tracking, budgets or hourly rates. It has an analytics page with board and card counts, completion rate and overdue cards. If you bill by the hour, stay on Breeze.

Is there a mobile app?

No. GuavaTeam is used in the browser only. Breeze's pricing page lists mobile apps for iOS, Android and web.

What does 'lifetime' mean here?

It means for as long as we run the app. If we ever shut an app down, you get 30 days' notice and an export of your data. There is also a 14-day full refund. Prices on this page come from Breeze's own pricing page, checked on 2026-10-22.

Can I be charged again if I forget to cancel?

No. GuavaTeam is one payment of $20, not a subscription, so there is no renewal date and no per-user bill that grows when you invite someone. The people you invite join and edit that board for free. Breeze bills each user until you cancel. If GuavaTeam doesn't fit, there is a 14-day full refund.
